Louis furrows his brow and his ears twitch in thought. Something that completely lacks the capacity to communicate with others? Something that only considers food, sleep, and sex?

"...Like insects, you mean?" He thinks that's the only category of creatures that he knows of which fit that description. Mindless things so small and insignificant that no one except someone like Legoshi cares about them. Herbivores aren't even bothered particularly if carnivores eat them.

"Non-humans behave like... insects where you come from?" He's having difficulty conceptualizing it. It's hard to imagine what a mindless society of animals would look like.

Or maybe he can imagine it.

"I suppose there's precedent for that where I come from. Carnivores addicted to meat become mindless." He's seen them with their hollow eyes and wide, drooling mouths, snapping at him even as the lions beat them to death. Even so, they were thinking people once, and maybe they could be again if they can ever overcome their fiendish appetite. But he supposes they can't in this world the creature is describing, this world he's in right now. Carnivores too unintelligent to overcome their monstrous nature, and herbivores too unintelligent to resist them. It's... horrifying.
