His remorse seems genuine, and Haru is admittedly surprised at the sincerity of his words. Not because she takes Louis to be a bad person, but he has always been someone who's held himself back, shouldered a weight and rarely showed any signs of how he truly felt behind his cool demeanor. And she feels...sad.
Her ears flick down, both towards the distance she suddenly feels for him, but also in knowing Legoshi isn't here either, disappointment in both. Because she's selfish too, and now knowing Louis is also here, the fact that delinquent of a wolf isn't around has her feeling lonelier than before.
Pulling her legs up onto the bed and hugging her knees to her chest, she gives a nod. "Yeah, glad." Meaning it just as much as Louis.
"Look, Louis..." There's something I wanted to tell you when you weren't around-- "--you don't have to worry about me being in here. I don't really want to be a damsel for your heroics. Like I said, I'll be fine." She's been through worse. "It's funny, though. They serve meat here. Just out in the open."
Maybe that's the fate of the prisoners here. It's a thought that did linger in the back of her mind the moment they had given her that first meal. It went untouched, given to someone else in the cell across who hadn't gotten enough.
