The corner of Louis' mouth tenses when she speculates that Legoshi had something to do with it, and he averts his eyes again. Ugh. Haru has always been able to see through him.

But he's not going to confirm that--no, he'll let Legoshi do that, if Legoshi ever can--but he's not going to deny it, either. He thinks she'd be able to see through him if he tried. He can lie if he must, but she's always been good at knowing when he lies.

"Legoshi's safe now, as am I. That's what matters." At least, that's what matters of the information he's willing to give her. Louis was safely taken care of by the hospital and now is in recovery, and Legoshi was safely released from custody after he and everyone else involved emphatically told the cops that he wasn't a risk to society. Louis can't help but feel a flicker of guilt at the fact that Legoshi has a record now, but it's better than Legoshi being dead.

"The leg is a minor setback. I'll have a prosthetic soon." And... well, he won't actually be as good as new once he has a prosthetic. But Legoshi had deliberately left him with enough leg that Louis could keep his knee. Adjusting to the prosthetic will thus be a lot easier than it could have been, and he should have most of his original mobility. At least, that's what the doctors said. Louis is determined to be so mobile that others can't even tell he's missing a leg.

"Are you sure? It isn't trouble to bring down food if you need it."
