[ Leon's unhappiness with death goes ignored, and he's left to exist with it, spared no comfort from nature's cycle. He stands there frowning at the forgemaster, but doesn't continue to defend his own feelings towards dying. It isn't that Hector's wrong, either. ]

I think I understand. So you alter the properties or change the form of living creatures instead.

[ As he says it, he realizes that it's a terrifying amount of power. It's a twisted art to practice, and Leon hadn't considered something like it to exist until now.

Do you try it on people?

This and other dark questions creep to the forefront of his mind, but he doesn't ask Hector despite their presence. He can't afford to make enemies where unnecessary. Without the forgemaster saying more, Hector has established himself as an enemy of God for his practice. Then again, so is Rinaldo.

Leon now, too, though. After the gauntlet and the whip.
He's likely damned himself now. ]

You aren't taunting me the way the monsters do, and you seem too helpful to be an enemy. I'm sorry that I haven't said anything nearly as interesting. [ Leon doesn't find himself particularly unique, and is too humble to bring out stories of battle unprompted. Those always needed Mathias to lead with a, "Hey remember when you __?" ]

The whip isn't here either, if you were hoping to see it in person.
