Maybe it's best that that isn't the case then because it would have been a sure fire way for him to earn a punch to the face or the gut right then and there. This short interaction has told him plenty about the brunette in front of him. Namely, that when presented with a challenge, she rises to the occasion. He just doesn't think that she would have literally risen on her toes to further close the space between them. It takes everything in his power to hold back the twitch of his lips - but keen eyes might very well pick that up.

Instead of giving into the impulse to smile his lips thin slightly to stifle it. His expression shifts again into something that might be considered sheepishness - were it not the still lingering amusement in his eyes. ]
