The unfortunate reality is, Ed's sometimes just gonna be talking whether there's anyone to hear him or not, which is made apparent when Ed answers the other man's script out loud and in his head.

Part of him wants to say this should be making him feel a lot crazier, but Wrench looks pretty calm about it all, and that makes Ed feel calmer, too.
