Babis confesses he snuck the bottle to Luna and presented it to one of the werewolves as a joke. He also did this partially because he didn't want to be caught with the bottle and knew that once it was Luna, Ikorr would have no way of discovering it.

The werewolf told him a funny thing: the wine contained traces of vampire blood, a smell the Lunae are highly sensitive to. He didn't think anything of it then. However, now that he's spent more time in Ikorr, he's noticed there aren't any vintages advertised to contain vampire blood anywhere that he's seen. Maybe he's just missed them?
