Wrench has indeed been observing. He’s seen a fair few of Solvunn’s native rituals by this point. Hell, he’s even been asked to lead a few of them himself. While he harbors no particular ire for any of them, he wonders if half the people who still devoutly engage have seen any kind of positive benefit for all their efforts. Even in service to a God himself, Wrench hardly considers himself faithful. “Loyal” is a much better descriptor. Or “vassal,” in the derogatory.
A pentagram isn’t an unfamiliar shape, though, so it gives at least some impression of where the newcomer might be from. Though to be fair, Wrench isn’t sure he’s ever seen someone draw one with such intent. Most of his past familiarity is built around spray painted images on the sides of old freight containers, or the movies that play on hotel television sets around 3:00 in the morning. They’re relegated to a couple of different meanings: either the person’s evil, or they’re trying to be edgy.
So, while his eyebrows raise when the man stands and they find themselves each eyeing up the other, he’s not in any great hurry to find out what the newcomer’s whole deal is.
