[This is really more Evie's scene than Jacob's. He's never been one for studying, he'd much rather be out there doing something, but as the weather's turning bad, Jacob's ended up stuck inside with very little to do but, well, this. Many, many books that he's shelved have shot out of their places already, and at this point he's half-tempted to just dump them somewhere and call it a day because he's not really getting anywhere.
Nice of Ardyn to simply duck the tome that's just shot past him, because now Jacob is rushing toward it with a huff, annoyed beyond belief about how this deceptively simple task is proving itself so difficult. Still, there's someone to talk to at least, so as he picks the book up he says lightly:]
I'unno, I've never been one for fairy tales. [He sets the book down on a convenient table, apparently deciding, fuck it, we're not doing this today.] But I've a twin sister and we can both be rather poor at sharing.
