Our spirits are pretty great. [ She agrees, perhaps a little too readily. ] Most of them are only scary if you make them scary or throw off the balance of nature. We're still a long way off from humans and Spirits co-existing entirely peacefully.

[ Which is something she sounds put out by - or exhausted by. It's by no means a sore subject, but clearly one she's trying to fight for. Not that everyone in her world has the same connection to Spirits that she does and that's part of the problem; She's never seen them as a real danger because they've always been a part of who she is. ]

[ She's a monk, though, and peace is something they strive for. ]

Yeah. It's really in the name. Being a bender just means you can control the elements - air, fire, earth, water. And there's all kinds of subsets of bending, too like lavabending or metalbending.
