( honestly? will solace was probably one of the last people she expected to find here. one of the seven, maybe. nico, reyna. will might have made the top ten, but only barely. and it's not because she doesn't think he's a capable demigod — he's more than capable of handling himself in high stakes situations, and she realizes not everyone is cut out to be on the front lines, so maybe she should give him a little more credit. maybe it's just that her old feud with the apollo cabin dies hard, despite the fact that will is the only apollo counselor she's ever tolerated, maybe even liked to some degree (will is, in his own way, annoyingly hard to dislike) — but that truth she'll take to her grave.

it's not to say she isn't glad to see a familiar face, someone from home — she's just. surprised, that's all. (not resentful, exactly. that wouldn't be fair. it's not will's fault he's the only other one here, but there is a treacherous twist of disappointment in her gut.)
