This means Jack wanders through to Borrel completely oblivious to Jerry's presence there, and with absolutely no expectation of seeing the guy.
He just really likes doing the paint & sip thing. It never, ever turns out the way the instructor intends, but it's still fun anyway — and so, with his head largely in the clouds, Jack wanders into the paint session with a full cup of paint in both hands...
...only to drop them both when his brain registers leave room for Jesus. Specifically, the familiarity of the voice, and its owner. Red and blue paint lurch up and out of the cups on either side of him, fully coating the nearest canvas in a swirl of absolutely mangnificent artwork that, through divine intervention, looks either like a very classy vagina, or some kind of abstract orchid.
