Gale hums in thought, frowning as he turns that over. He slides his book onto a shelf, turns back to Kahlil and lifts a hand to rub his beard in thought.
"The gods local to Abraxas, perhaps?" he surmises. "Where I am from, Ao is the god above all over gods. The one who created them, who created Toril and the Sea of Night itself -- although some accounts do vary. Others claim Ao only created parts of it, that some worlds and stars were created by Shar and Selûne. Not that gods always tell you everything, of course."
In fact, if the gods had been birthed from something else -- some greater power, something that could potentially be used against them... something that might, even, be able to gift godly powers itself... would they admit it?
