He's personally witnessed a handful of half-bloods who'd managed to make it out of the 'monster-killing-years' and transitioned into college and raising a family, but the idea of spending his teen years without all of this stuff is ... well, it's still kind of impossible. That might also be because he's deeply entrenched in it right now.
