( it's easy to see the damage that was suffered after the storms, the flooding still in certain areas of the settlement, those torn from their homes from safety, and the destruction to some of the buildings. but it's also easy to see how quickly they've come together, the sense of belonging that everyone seems to share. and how no one is turned away, even when beds may be full.

it had pulled her in, offering to carry things to people who were temporarily settling in another's home, searching in houses for people lost or items that they needed. it's an easy distraction from what she feels, from her lack of understanding as to what had happened. but really, elisabeth is happy to help )

(there are baskets of fresh fruits and vegetables to be delivered, cooked meals that have already been moving out to the various houses. she's making sure they're going to the right house and not dropping it at a door that doesn't need it )
