She's rather sure she imagined Zagreus's reaction would have been a little more... hopeful... as well.

Melinoƫ won't let that burden her heart. (Is it not burdened enough?) Seeing her father had not been an illusion, only inevitable; if she has learned anything, it was that Cronos revelled in both his arrogance and the suffering he inflicts upon her family. Of course he should chain the Lord of the Underworld down like a common slave. Of course she would find him. Was it not written by the Fates?

But this?

She's not even the words for it.

Of course he doesn't recognize me. That should not bring her heart any lower. She was only an infant when Cronos drove this wedge into their peace. But surely...? Their similarities far out-weigh their differences.

Father had not recognized her immediately, either. And at least the surprise on Zagreus's face was not preempted by a comment on her frailty.

"I'm Melinoƫ," she says, hoping her voice sounds strong and sure. "Daughter of Lord Hades and Lady Persephone. Your... your sister."

Her voice wavers, but at least it doesn't come out as a question. As much as she wishes to linger (what does he recall? What happened in their House? What was the sound of Mother's laugh like?) But more importantly: "How are you... here? How did you escape Cronos?"
