That gains Nico an eye roll. "Do you think I'd be here if I had a say in it?" Because that seems laughable. He knows this is just Nico lashing out and he, conceptually, understands why, but it doesn't stop him from getting annoyed in response. Which is probably not helping his case, but...again. He can't help his own emotional response.

The question nearly makes him leave. He can remember everything, the feeling of Kronos being in his body, the ways that Kronos pushed into things to get him to do things he didn't want to. And the question is both fair, but there's an anger about it as well. He takes a few breaths before responding. It isn't fair to take his annoyance out on someone who is dealing with perhaps more than he is. Someone that feels wronged because of him and he's doing his best to think of what Annabeth would want him to do here.
