( the entire scene before him almost felt surreal. it had been a very long time since he had dealt with anyone who seemed normal, who had a strange determination like this, and who just moved so casually around him. he almost felt as if he had seen the same people over and over again, despite only knowing them briefly.

so his expression the entire time is watchful, keeping an eye on boothill and observing him as if he were the most fascinating person around. really the entire situation of being here was fascinating, james was just too numb and focused on finding his wife to truly appreciate the circumstance.

once he was settled in though, he waved his hand in front of his face to clear some dust that had floated by. he leaned forward, placing his elbows on his knees and kept his eyes on boothill's. )


Well I thought for a moment you had been here some time already...

( again, not james' fault for assuming the man before him was an expert around here. )

I'm not going to try and change your mind, but I can't say I agree. I don't think any of this is welcoming at all. It almost seems...like we're prisoners here or something.
