Carl looks up at the suggestion, then sits back up and pats himself down. He had picked up some jerky earlier in the day. He produces it from his shirt pocket and holds it up so Inej can see. "Good idea. Thank you." He replies, offering the stick to the dog. The promises of food seems to tip it over into approaching Carl, and nibbling at the offered meat.
"There you are. Good boy." He doesn't try to pet the dog yet, not wanting to spook it. "Where dogs are concerned, I've always been an acquired taste." He adds, for Inej's benefit. But this is still better than constant barking and obvious fear.
