MODS WANTED
Hello Abraxans, and happy Sunday! Today we would like to announce our search for some new hands on deck here behind-the-scenes with us.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are currently looking for ONE (1) FULL MOD and ONE (1) HELPER MOD. We might choose to add a second helper mod in the near future, depending on how our first one feels about the workload.

Our full mod would be stepping up to help with all the big-idea stuff. In terms of IC stuff, they can expect to brainstorm and write plot posts, TDMs, and world-building. They will take on NPC work. They will help develop and implement player plots as brought forth by the players. Regarding OOC housekeeping, they will join the rest of us in evaluating and voting on applications, answering questions, and dealing with all player interactions. As of right now, the average weekly mod workload is currently around 15-20 hours, but we expect for this to be lowered with the addition of new members to the mod team.

The helper mod will take on a lot of the general maintenance and routines needed to run the game. This includes tasks such as maintaining the taken list, opening and closing reserves and applications as well as maintaining those lists, posting app acceptances/declines, posting OOC intros, maintaining various information pages, and posting announcements on Plurk. Many of these tasks already have a system and schedule, and simply need someone to keep up with them.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking first and foremost for people who have really delved into shaping the world of Abraxas, and who want to have more influence on the direction that the game takes. These positions are not for someone who wants the details of the game plot to remain a surprise — you will need to take more joy in the journey than the destination. But don't let that deter you! Sometimes, it is, in fact, more fun to know the surprise that's coming (and we promise, you'll still get all the feelings of shock and awe when you read the other ways that people wind up getting to it!).

Applicants for the main mod position would ideally have previous world-building experience, but that's not a strict requirement. Much more important is the drive to create within the world. Other nice-to-haves would be basic coding skills, and basic skills in handling player relations.

Applicants for the helper mod position must have basic coding skills and enjoy organization.

WHAT ELSE?
You will be anonymous, so you can separate your playing from your modding. We will tailor your specific tasks to your preferences and availability. And, of course, you will be privy to all of our in-jokes that have yet to be revealed to the player base.

In the upcoming two weeks, we will be performing behind-the-scenes housekeeping on some of our info pages and links. Consolidating this information, as well as simply running the game at all, are large, time-intensive projects, and we hope you will excuse any broken links or missing entries as we shuffle them around.
