Thancred has already delivered his warning and this stranger is clearly aware of the risks of what he's doing. There's no point in pushing it any further than that, so he simply continues to nibble on the available finger food as they have their conversation.

It appears that the means of summoning is similar for all of them, and so Thancred can only assume that the fountain had served as part of the ritual. What significance that bears he could hardly say, and it would not be the first time since his arrival that he wished to have either Y'shtola or Urianger at his side to shed some light on the situation.

Thancred literally chews over the question implied by the stranger for a few ticks. "Well, they told me that they had somehow heard of my exploits from across the stars." That is not a comfort in any sense of the term, but he keeps his tone calm as he continues on. "Given their propensity for magick here, I cannot begin to imagine what use I would serve them either, unless they are looking to grow their ranks in other areas."
