"I'll see what I can do," Thancred replies with a firm nod. He isn't certain that Stephen would be open to fielding questions from each and every new summoned, but he did seem to be rather more settled into life in this kingdom than the rest of them. It's possible he would be open to help if he was given something in return. That is something Thancred can think over later, as he can usually come up with some favor or another to owe someone.

Yet Edelgard brings up a decent point. Thancred draws his hand back to cross his arms and thinks back. It's true that they had said he was an honored guest, that he would be able to save this world based on his past exploits, and if he's honest that had all checked out. He has saved the world a time or two, even if it was Himeka who deserved most of the credit. Why they chose him over her he couldn't say, but it could be that they'd made a mistake similar to G'raha's, missing the mark just slightly.

"No specifics, you're right. It could be that the High Mage is the only one who has those details, and I imagine he's not the easiest person to earn an audience with."

It's something to keep in mind for the future, however.

"May I ask, then... were you to hazard a guess, do you have some idea of why they would have chosen you?" It's a direct question, but he'll reveal his own answer to that question if she wishes for it. 'Tis only fair.
