Peter's first impression is that his new friend is less than happy. Less than thrilled. Not exactly fond of their circumstances, and whilst Peter can't exactly blame him, there's a certain tautness to the way that he holds himself that Peter takes note of and files away under 'proceed with caution, question mark'.

Or maybe, Peter thinks, he's just tired and on edge — the lack of his spider-sense, though not the first time, though not unusual, is enough for concern to sit in the form of a tight ball in the pit of his stomach; and the lack of familiar faces simply compounds the fact.

So he shrugs. It's a tight shoulder lift, punctuated by a quick quirk of his lips as if to say 'whaddya know' and he elaborates with a—
