"I know, I just... didn't want to be the one to say it," she admits, fiddling with one of the cuffs around her wrist. "Though I guess being overly optimistic won't make either of us feel better, either. Until we know more or hear from those mages again, it's hard to tell what will become of us. They're feeding us, though, so I can at least say they don't plan to dispose of us just yet, if nothing else."
