"I think the fact that they brought us here means they want something from us." He pokes at the rest of his food, contemplating it. He isn't convinced the food is the bribe. It's just the lubricant leading up to it.

"If they want a motley crew like everyone who's come out of that well, they'll offer a better payment than just food." A brief pause while another thought occurs to him.

"Or they'll threaten us." He isn't sure what magic brought him back from the dead and to this unknown kingdom, but it has to be powerful and those who use it could very well be dangerous.
