I have tested my sword hand against all sorts of man and monster. All have perished and none could put test to the strength I have within.

[At least in part that is true, he has fought and beat a lot of monsters and soldiers. It just might be he isn't the all powerful hero in his story and when it comes to testing against the strongest forces, it's his uncle and cousin who are truly fated to face that challenge.]
