Same here. [Masumi frowns, turning around the facts of the situatiion over and over in her head. She was a detective. Her job was detecting. Figuring stuff out. But that was kind of hard when she knew none of the facts of the situation and the rules of the world were completely alien to her.

She could at least give it a shot, though.]

I think that despite being "failures," we're probably still useful to them somehow. That wizard guy doesn't seem like the kind of show mercy if we were completely useless; we have at least some leverage in that they want to keep us alive for now.
