O-kay. That all but confirms that Kirigan isn't from Earth — or, if he is, it's a very different Earth. It elicits a pause, and though Peter's no stranger to different worlds, to different universes, the response — in light of the prior assumption — has him wondering if Kirigan is. It can be quite the shock to the system, and despite their arrival — the entire 'void' thing and rather unflattering, dismissive referral to them (him? maybe it had just been him) as a 'creature' — Peter concedes that if he didn't know any better, he might have jumped to the conclusion of 'I'm traumatised and my brain is absolutely filling in gaps with absurdity'.

"Russia's, uh, a very large country spanning the continents of Europe and Asia. Known for snow, vodka, and its less than democratic approach to politics and sportsmanship." He waves a hand dismissively. "It's not important, and history wasn't really my strong suit". And maybe Kirigan's from somewhere with enough similarities to Earth that discussing the proletariat overthrowing the bourgeoisie isn't a recommended topic of conversation. "Small dogs are pretty similar to large dogs, just—." Peter makes a gesture with his hand to imply 'smaller', a quick smile accompanying the gesture both as a response to Kirigan's, as well as an acknowledgement that he's perfectly aware that Kirigan (probably) knows what a small dog is. "Just yappier."

But anyway.

"So, Ravka, huh? That's—." Yeah, no, he's got nothing. "Pretty far from home."
