It's a very different experience, fighting without access to the richness of his extrasensory abilities or the power to affect and manipulate the world around him with anything but his physicality. He might have reflexively cushioned the fall, if he could have— much like most people put out a hand when taking a tumble— but this time Ronan's body takes the brunt of the impact for him. It's a breathless shock regardless, and it leaves him little time to take advantage of Ronan's helplessness before he's back, ferocious joy blazing up from his eyes as he pummels defiance into Kylo's back.

He can't help but laugh. Or he would, if he had the breath for it. He might not know what the sign of the Moon means, but if there isn't at least one hefty paragraph about wild, almost suicidal abandon, he suspects the High Mage of Thorne might have rather miscast the young man struggling under his weight.

"They won't thank me," he bites out between breaths as he shifts, pushing strength into his limbs as he works with apparently tireless persistence to pin Ronan to the ground and wrest free from his grip, "--our hosts. If I kill you now. All that work for nothing..."
