The other's eyes may have appeared off to the fox, but he wasn't staring too deeply into them, nor would he have thought much of them. Perhaps they were some sort of genetic mutation or trick of the lighting or the like. Huojin was never one to make any judgement something based upon one minor physical trait like eyes. After all, he appeared fully human to anyone looking at him. Who was he to make any assumptions?

Huojin firmly wished that wasn't the case, however. He missed being able to shift into his fox form, allowing his tails to swish about and his ears to twitch upon his head. He never felt so free as he did as when he allowed himself to fully shift. Certainly, those were few and far between, but even then, he longed for knowing the potential was out there. Being locked in this cell with his magic restricted took that away.

His brow furrowed momentarily as he heard his cellmate specify humans, unsure of whether he was including Huojin himself in that category. As it became more evident that he wasn't one, was it obvious to him that Huojin wasn't as well?

And yet, rather than any unwanted attention to it as a pitiful attempt at self-preservation, Huojin gave a slight hum and nod in agreement. "There are plenty of people skilled in quite a lot of things."
