Again, she notes the quick concealment of those strange protrusions, or at least the attempt at it. Decides it probably is rude to ask...though it doesn't stop her from wanting to. Maybe an opportunity will arise at some later point, but for now there's the added mystery of trying to work out what a carriage might be. Some kind of vehicle, she surmises, though the word rode is a touch confusing; the only vehicles she's ever encountered were designed for space travel.

Though her last doomed attempt to flee Drearburh had indeed been via shuttle, and so she nods as sagely as she can, as though she completely understands. Yep. Totally gets what Alina means there.

"That might be tough this time. Those bastard guards have hardly kept their eyes off us since we were led out here," she says, focusing hard on trying to make this look effortless, not allowing strain to enter her voice because she isn't imagining the other woman's eyes on her biceps, is she? She hopes not. "First we'd need a distraction. Or bribery? Not that I've got much to bribe them with."

She says the last part a touch glumly. Doesn't think offering her undying gratitude is going to get them very far, here, "and it'd help if we had any idea where the hell we are. I'm guessing you got here through that creepy-ass fountain too?"
