EVENT #7: THE SIGHT - WRAP-UP
Event #7 - The Sight (Wrap-Up)
go to the IC event post or OOC info post
At the end of the week, on APRIL 25th, each faction will have determined their actions regarding this incident among the Summoned. Whether or not your character was directly affected by the event, they'll be approached by faction officials all the same. While each nation is seeking something different from the Summoned, all of them are requesting cooperation of some kind.
Please do not feel pressured to respond immediately! The wrap-up details are being presented now to give everyone an idea of how things will be proceeding following the event, but both players and characters (ICly and OOCly) will have until MAY 31st to make and submit their decision, as we know many players are still working on their event threads.
Once you're ready, review the description below of what each faction is doing, then comment under the appropriate faction thread using the form to let us know whether your character is COOPERATING or DECLINING. You do not need to provide a reason either way! This is simply for us to keep track. Characters will not face any immediate consequences for their decision, but as always, they will curry more favor with important officials by being helpful.

THORNE
FREE CITIES
SOLVUNN
Kingdom of Thorne
Having required the Summoned remain within the Castle for the past week in order to assess the Singularity and its impact on those affected, Thorne has asked the Summoned to exhibit a bit more patience and to continue their isolation for another week - just for the sake of everyone's safety!
The High Mage, Ambrose Rhett, will also strongly encourage the Summoned submit their personal experience in a written report, which they can deliver to him at any point. This can include their dreams of the Eye, how the Horizon differed, physical effects, and whatever else your character deems fit. Doing so will earn his thanks and he will assure everyone that he will share any findings he makes as they arise. Those who decline are allowed to do so, but Ambrose will express some disappointment in the decision. After all, don't they want to help make sure the world is safe for everyone?
Anyone who hands him their report may notice that the High Mage has a warded leather journal where he appears to store his research. More significantly, while the journal's contents are magically obscured from prying eyes, characters might additionally glimpse their matching Arcana sign in the section in which Ambrose slips their report - as though, perhaps, he is keeping notes on each of Thorne's guests. Attempting to ask after this, or anything further in general, will only result in Ambrose waving you dismissively out of his office.
It is not necessary to write the report in an in-game capacity, although you're welcome to give a brief overview of what they'd write if you like. Simply commenting that your character has agreed to provide one (cooperating) will be enough. However, if your character will deliberately lie or mislead in any major way in the report (omitting information does not count, as Ambrose will simply determine it to be information that's been overlooked rather than hidden), please contact us on the plot engagement post so we can work out any consequences!

The Free Cities
The amount of guards on the streets remain noticeable for the next week or so. During this period, a courier will appear at the door of every Summoned. She may either show up at the character's regular place of work or their home regardless of if your character has been open about this information or not - and she seems to know any others who may live there or work alongside them, as well. If a character is difficult to catch in person, she will leave the letter with someone who knows them to pass it on.
The written notice delivered highly requests the Summoned report to Portam Hall for a check-in to ensure that everything is back to normal. Along with the request, each notice also comes with a blank form where characters can briefly note how they felt and how they're currently feeling, which can be deposited into a box at the front of Portam Hall. Filling the form is completely optional.
Characters may show up at Portam Hall any time during regular working hours. Once arrived, they will be informed that they need to hold the handles on this device for about 15 seconds in order to "make sure things are stable again" and are free to decline at this stage if they do not wish to participate.
If they do decide to proceed, characters will be directed to a cordoned line leading to the device. The device will hum and glow when held, but otherwise appears harmless. It will not give off any notable indications of magic or power, but characters with a keen eye will notice that the glow varies in intensity depending on who holds it, though it's difficult to tell what the underlying reasons are. Upon leaving, characters will be thanked and offered a small sum of money for their participation. Additionally, they'll be told that if anything concerning arises, they will be contacted. After all, city officials know exactly where to find them.
To anyone who declines, the courier will deliver the notice two more times throughout the next 2-3 weeks. Upon the final delivery, the courier will be accompanied by a visibly armed guard (who remains politely several steps away) and will ask for a signature on the notice, officially stating they are refusing to submit to the check-in. She will give the character a copy to keep. If your character will refuse to even sign, they won't be forced to do so - but she will mark down their name where the signature would go instead and leave them be.

Solvunn Commune
In Solvunn, every settlement has taken note of this phenomenon that has afflicted the Summoned, even as far as the Tertiary Settlement. Word spreads quickly in such a tightknit community. Going forward, characters will find they are treated with a certain level of fascination bordering on reverence among the regular folk and there are brewing whispers of awakening the voice of the gods. This includes characters being asked for advice on important matters and given gifts that seem to be more along the lines of offerings than actual gifts. Curious, the locals might also ask the Summoned about their experiences during the event, and would be especially intrigued to hear about their dreams.
Some characters who make enough of a name for themselves (3 influence or higher) may even be asked to come witness a special occasion such as a birth, a wedding, or a name day celebration in order to "bless" the event with their presence. They will be offered small gifts upon doing so and be given a special seat at the table of any feasts, as well as a bone and flower crown to wear, signifying the good fortune they may bestow.
Those who accept the offerings and requests for appearances will be warmly welcomed anywhere they go. Those who decline will not be looked upon with suspicion, but rather with a sense that the common folk are not sure if they have done something to offend the Summoned that they would not provide a simple blessing or accept an offering. Locals may try to earn favor with yet more small offerings of differing types (perhaps they would prefer wine rather than flowers?) or your character may be left alone, out of concern that they will be further offended.
The Solvunn Council itself will not confirm nor deny what it is the locals appear to have seen the signs of. Should they be asked, the Summoned will simply be told that the gods are of great importance to their people and that, as they are now part of the commune, the Council would encourage them to respect local customs.

Questions and Answers
If after reading these you're still unsure about anything, or your question wasn't covered, please feel free to hit up our Questions thread below!
- Can my character change their mind after the May period?
- Factions will no longer be seeking their assistance even if offered after this point. Thorne and the Free Cities will inform anyone who changes their mind that the situation is now under review and that they are no longer needed. In the case of Solvunn, the locals will simply stop approaching characters who have declined too many times where offerings or requests for blessings are concerned - though characters will still be treated with the usual kindness.
- What if my character doesn't appreciate being approached this way at all?
- Officials will not coerce the Summoned into doing anything and will politely back off if they find the situation is becoming aggressive or shows signs of getting out of hand.
- Will declining impact my character negatively in any way?
- There are no active consequences for not cooperating, but as always, the factions will appreciate any Summoned who prove helpful to their goals rather than those who choose to hinder it, and may be more inclined to listen to what they have to say in the future.
- Will the officials answer any questions from the Summoned?
- Officials in all three nations are extremely busy, and will politely decline answering any extensive questions beyond reassuring any concerns characters may have. They don't know what's going on, either! They're hoping your assistance will help them find answers for everyone. In Solvunn, the common folk seem to be coming to you for answers, even.
- My character uncovered something in someone's memories they'd want to tell a faction official. Can they snitch?
- Whether the faction in question would be interested depends on what your character learned. You can contact the mod team on the plot engagement post if you feel your character has information that may be of use. Be sure to discuss things OOCly with all players involved before making any IC reveals in-game that will impact others significantly.
- My character wants to be extra helpful! Can they do more than what's asked?
- Absolutely! Characters are free to do small actions such as encouraging other Summoned to participate or making sure word reaches everyone that the factions are seeking their assistance. If you wish to pursue a major line of investigation, please reach out to us on the plotting post with your proposal.
