State of the Game

April - May (2022)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

We encourage you to use the information here to springboard new CR or plots if you're so inclined. Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions. Some new creatures have also been added to the Bestiary for you to play with.

The Sight | LINK
The night before April 18, dreams of the Summoned were disrupted by a vivid image of the same eclipse that occurred last month - opening into a disturbing eye that stared at every dreamer. For a week following this incident, many of the Summoned suffered headache-inducing visions of each other's past as their memories opened up to each other.

Migration | LINK
Between May 22 - 28, small rodent-sized Moth Hares made an unprecedented migration across Abraxas. While these creatures normally nest near the Singularity and have done so undisturbed for many decades, it seems the recent activity around the Singularity caused them to relocate en masse. No real harm was ultimately done, but a small bit of chaos arose in every faction during that week.

Town Hall

Open to any Summoned who would have heard of it or were otherwise invited by Stephen Strange, Wanda Maximoff, or Sam himself, a Town Hall was held in the Horizon at Sam's domain, where the floor was open to a discussion forum. Food and a bar, hosted by Julie Lawry, were available afterwards. Characters who raised topics or contributed to the open discussion include: Himeka Sui, Dean Winchester, Thancred Waters, Stephen Strange, Sasarai, Viktor, Jayce Talis, Goro, Tony Stark, Julie Lawry, Jaskier

The above were out and about assisting with the Moth Hare infestation by placing the moth orbs in the kitchen stores. Rey, Kylo Ren
An altercation between the two of them may have been overheard by those near the the market in Castle Thorne's surrounding city.

Thancred Waters, Stephen Strange, Yennefer
After taking leave in March to go on an undisclosed journey throughout Thorne, these three may have been spotted finally returning to the city mid-April, having accomplished their task. It may further be noticed that Yennefer and Stephen Strange have been granted some assistants for their duties around the castle.

The above were out and about assisting with the Moth Hare infestation by placing the deterrent insect device around the city. Those who failed to repair the device and may have been seen putting out a small fire or with singed eyebrows include: Jaskier, Shepard, Garrus Vakarian

Alucard
Alucard continues to work on restoring the Old Public Hall in Cadens. The hall itself now bears a sign that says CLOSED - NO ENTRY and a large amount of hammering can be heard, as well as scaffolding seen. Characters seen assisting with this restoration project or otherwise visiting include: Jesper Fahey, Jaskier, Geralt of Rivia, Viktor

A certain bard was caught up in a flurry of angry Moth Hares, in his attempt to rescue a small pet gryphon, and required assistance.

Jayce Talis
After raising multiple complaints at Portam Hall regarding the device taking readings of the Summoned, Jayce may have been spotted in a variety of lineups, waiting a few long hours in another section of the building, and filling out a large volume of forms. Additionally, Alucard put an ad on the side of the restoration project building for Jayce's skills as a blacksmith.

Solvunn Commune

The above may have been spotted out and about spraying a botanical mist on wreathes and shrines in an effort to dissuade the Moth Hares from nibbling, as well as replanting any Shrieking Weeds who were disturbed in the process. Those who failed to improve upon the mist and provoked a cacophony of multiple Shrieking Weeds include: Hythlodaeus, Zelda, Himeka Sui, Nero, Wanda Maximoff

Those in Solvunn may have found or received a colorful brochure depicting the above three mentioned and giving an overview of life in the Settlement, as well as some previous events which have occurred since the Summoned's arrival. It seems to have been hand-drawn by the children.
