State of the Game

June - July (2022)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

We encourage you to use the information here to springboard new CR or plots if you're so inclined. Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions.

A reminder that Activity Rewards are now open! Rewards will be processed at the end of every AC period.

World Events

All Factions

Late June, the Summoned began to experience vivid dreams shared between each other. Within these dreams, an Entity began to form and threatened to break into the world. A few Summoned from each faction banded together to successfully drive back these Entities, though at a cost to themselves. Additionally, strange visions surfaced for some of those in the Horizon.

A wrap-up for the event detailing the actions of each faction in response can be found here. Overall, there's been additional movement in the military and government, and an increase in defensive measures.

In early July, two ambassadors - a werewolf and a vampire - from Nocwich made a trip to each faction. They were seen discussing important matters with faction officials and left carrying some portal devices. Additionally, samples of special wares from Ikorr and Luna were sold throughout the month in local shops and eateries.

Art Walk

The last week of July saw an art walk that opened up a portal between Cadens and Libertas. Along with sculptures, poetry, and performances, political sentiments within Cadens has also begun to shift thanks to the influx of its neighboring city's counterculture. After stumbling upon an unlocked door and doing a bit of snooping, Stephen uncovers a concerning series of medical documents linked to the Dimming. He's confronted shortly afterwards by Ambrose for looking where he shouldn't.

Solvunn Commune

Determined to speak to the Old Gods, Thor and a few friends offer sacrifices to one of the shrines in Solvunn. After placing some wheat and flowers, they decide to make a bolder offering. Much bolder. Those in the Primary Settlement may have heard some yelling.

The Horizon

The Singularity

Julie and a few others take a quiet trip to the Singularity that lies within the Horizon space. Her attempts to communicate with it yield some interesting developments, though this is known by few.

Thornean residents may have noticed him setting accidental fires around the castle and town. This has happened only a handful of times, resulting in damage no worse than a singed table or charred book.

Those who pay attention in Thorne may have taken note that Thancred was gone from the castle for about a day's time. Word has it he used one of his special passes to travel to Borrel.

A new workshop has been established by Jayce and Viktor in Cadens. Tony Stark is also working alongside them to build his brand.
