It's time for activity check! Activity requirements are outlined below. If you have any additional questions, you can reach out to us on the FAQ.

Players will be required to link at minimum two threads with a brief summary of what each thread entails. Some months will have specific goals or events where linking extra threads related to those plots will result in extra rewards.

There is no minimum comment count for linked threads. We understand that sometimes threads are started late in the month, or are slow for reasons of conflicting availability between individual players, and so on. If we notice a pattern of making threads to fulfill the AC requirements and ignoring responses, or dropping threads as soon as AC is approved, we will have an individual discussion with the player in question.

TDM threads, network threads, and inbox threads are acceptable as proofs for AC, but should not make up the total of both proofs (i.e. your two thread proofs submitted for AC cannot consist only of inbox threads). Further, at least one proof should be a log thread - both proofs cannot be network-style comment spam.

Backdated threads from the previous month are acceptable, so long as the comments linked take place during the current AC month and the thread has not been used for a previous AC or for AC rewards. Backdated threads that were started at the end of the previous month are especially fine. If we notice a consistent pattern of backdated threads started at the beginning of the previous month with very sparse comments or regularly dropped threads, then we may have an individual discussion with the player in question.

If you plan on using additional threads in a log post or top level to purchase bonus Activity Rewards, please link individual threads when filling out the main Activity Check rather than the entire top level or log, to help us keep track which thread has already been submitted where.

You may hiatus once every four months (so, once you use a hiatus, you must make activity for the next three months). If you have extenuating RL circumstances that would require you to hiatus more, please contact the mods. There are no strikes separate from hiatuses, but you are not required to hiatus in advance of AC so if you find yourself without the necessary activity you can use your hiatus pass.

Failing to post to AC before closure will count as idling out. If you think you'll be unable to post during this time period or extenuating RL circumstances prevented you from posting please contact the mods.

There are no event gains for August's event. Characters may still request their Horizon gain if they haven't claimed it already. There is no strict time limit for requesting a Horizon gain, but we suggest doing so within the first few months of entering the Horizon.

Don't forget to submit your Assignment Outcome by AUGUST 26 at 11:59 ET. Providing either a top level or simply a tag in to another player's thread is acceptable for the link requested on the form! The assignment itself does not need to be threaded. A character's presence at the ceremony is sufficient.

Notable actions: Diana agreed to help pull old equipment out of the mines. She is doing so very stronkly, not even trying to hide her immense strength. She would have been pretty vocal with the miners about how they deserve to work safely, and that she's glad the Summoned have taken up the task of replacing some of their equipment. While in Nocwich, she cooperated with the request from the Free Cities to avert the danger posed to the delegates.

Power or physical gain: For his Horizon power, I would like something along the lines of Enhanced Memory and this is in specific relation to reading material. Whatever Istredd reads, whether it's a novel or a book of spells or history, he memorizes it with perfect clarity. He does have to read the book from start to finish in order to do it, he will only remember what he's seen. It will start out with him only being able to do this once a week and long-term see him able to memorize as many as he can read in a given day.

I would like to note as part of this that in Istredd's Horizon, he has a tower of books and whatever he has read can be found within that space. I would like therefore a bridge to be made with your permission that if he reads a book of spells in Thorne, it will appear in his Horizon and others can read it. It is okay if this is not possible, but thought I could pitch it.

Notable actions: He has been seen spending a large amount of time in the library, even sleeping there occasionally, and he cooperated with the Thorne request.

Your gain is accepted with a few caveats: He will be able to memorize one whole book or chapters from multiple books at one time. Essentially only having one whole book's worth of information at a time. The books in his Horizon won't come automatically, he will have to manually manifest them.

You create up to four torch-sized lights within range, making them appear as torches, lanterns, or glowing orbs that hover in the air for the duration. You can also combine the four lights into one glowing vaguely humanoid form of Medium size. Whichever form you choose, each light sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius. A light must be within 20 feet of another light created by this spell, and a light winks out if it exceeds the spell’s range.

Notable actions: Prior to the invitation to Nochwich, Inej continues to be a notable fixture behind the bar most evenings at The Sarstina Inn in Cadens, she also helped with the mines per Jayce & Viktor's volunteer request; Inej's time after the 15th was entirely spent in Nochwich, soaking up everything she could about the culture and way of life there. She was particularly fond of the fortune tellers and is kind of clinging quite tightly to her interpretation of the one Lady Elin gave to her. Power or physical gain: From visiting Horizon for the first time: A version of Goodberry! They look like the crystalline grapes, like the fruit in his Domain. They provide a day's worth of nourishment and a pleasant warmth in your body when consumed. They disappear after an hour if not eaten.
Notable actions: Kyle spent the first week in Castle Thorne exploring, mostly hanging around the library (researching history and gods) and figuring out how to ingratiate himself with the castle staff, particularly around the housekeeping folks: opening doors if their hands are full, offering to help carry any heavy loads for them if he sees anyone struggling, etc, while being mindful of not being a nuisance and getting in the way of their work if they rebuff his attempts.

Lucifer's presence is sometimes preceded by radio tuning/static, fading in then out. He can stifle it down to a very hard-to-hear white noise if he puts the effort in.

Notable actions: Lucifer was vocal encouraging any Thorne Summoned about following along with the assignment.

Power or physical gain: Horizon Regain: something along the lines of Sense Emotions. It's not something he's going to be able to control without some practice, especially not calling it up on someone specific at will. I imagine it more like the emotional equivalent of walking through a crowd and catching snippets of other people's conversations but he'd have to learn how to focus and channel it with time (to keep it from cheating towards a too-powerful observation skill)
Notable actions: Sylvain assisted with the mining equipment move (linked above). He spent a considerable time in Nocwich, especially among the stalls and shops there and chatted up a lot of vampires and werewolves to learn about their kind. Sylvain cooperated with the Free Cities request while attending the Nightbloom Ball. Otherwise, he's been hunting around for employment at either a stables (tending horses) or at a bar/tavern (serving drinks) to help fund expenses here, as well as offering a helping hand around Mag's Inn to pay for room&board.

Notable actions: Elidibus did do a bunch of public storytelling in the library/archive of the Primary Settlement for the younglings of Solvunn. But nothing grandiose.

When surrounded she can swipe in a circle to defend herself, and it's as if there is a sword coming outward in every direction from her body. Damage is taken by anything/anyone (even allies) within five feet of her when it happens. I leave it to your disposal for how much damage it is & how long it lasts at this first stage. I'd like her power gains on this path long term to be Bladesinging.

Notable actions: Jo Harvelle showed up many months after Dean Winchester brought Harvelle's Roadhouse into the Horizon, so people keep knowing her name already. Jo was a volunteer for Jayce & Viktor's mine project. Jo went to Nocwich, where she spent a lot of time either in The Hunting Grounds or in the Gambling Den. Outside of those she shopped (helped Nadine find her ceremony dress to match her date/boyfriend, Free City Delegate Jaskier), got two tattoos, took part in the Blind Tasting with Dean. Oh. Right. And maybe she went hunting with Dean, and accidentally (nearly) shot Geralt (on purpose), and then did shoot Lucifer.

Notable actions: Altaïr spent a good amount of time parkouring around the accessible rooftops of Cadens (see first prompt + some ensuing threads) for practice and to memorize the traversable parts of that level of the city. He moves pretty quietly and lots of people aren't inclined to look up...but for those who do, if they recognize him later, it would be fair to say he's earned the label of "weirdo who runs around rooftops."

He also commissioned Jayce and Viktor to build a new hidden blade for him, so he'll have that next month. It's basically just an emotional support knife strapped to his arm.
