Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

New and old players alike can now visit Nocwich every first weekend of each month for some cross-faction CR. Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

A Volunteer post will go up on February 11th for Event #12. Both new and old players are encouraged to take a look!

The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 16th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 19th. This event will be a larger one, spanning into March. The event will consist of 2 parts. See here for more details.

CHARACTER NAME: Julie Lawry
CANON: The Stand

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Do you like canons that now seem oddly prescient and will make you nauseous at how close reality came to a fictional dystopia? Welcome to the world of The Stand, a miniseries released in 2020 about a global pandemic that kills 99.4% of all human life. Stephen King wrote a book in the 70s and we're all still paying the price. Julie Lawry is a manipulative, social-climbing hayseed from Kansas who is among the .6% of humanity who is inexplicably immune from the superflu. As the sole survivor from her entire podunk town, she spent a month completely alone, then fell prey to a wizard/demon/sex god, went to Las Vegas because of dreams, and now her wardrobe is fabulous. Also she died, but we don't talk about that.

Julie practices wild magic, which she learned by living in Nott for half a year to get a start, then just kept stubbornly practicing via trial and error until she got good at it. Her abilities were sped up by spending excessive amounts of time with the Singularity because ↓

She has a distinctly strong connection to the Singularity and the Horizon -- by which I mean it turns out that she can FUCKING TALK TO IT. As far as she knows, she is the only one who can have an active conversation with it. This has led to her becoming somewhat obsessive and territorial over the Singularity; she spends a lot of time with it, speaking to it and absorbing its magic like nuclear waste. But she loves the Singularity a lot and is fiercely protective of it, both due to her connection and also the fact that she cannot leave Abraxas (since her world is dead), and she fears something bad happening to the world if the Singularity is harmed.

In the Horizon, she has a nightclub that's open whenever she's there, populated by roughly 100 fake people who live on the dance floor. There is a lot of booze and drugs available, please see the bartender (Steven, a manifestation of the Horizon) or the hostess (Julie, an idiot) if you would like some.

She is currently working with Nadine Cross to both find a permanent home to buy, as well as starting the Cities’ cannabis industry. Julie is much more involved on the recreational and marketing side. Which means she will sell you some drugs if you wanna meet up in Nocwich.
CR YOU WANT: tbh I am wide open. Julie will be the cheery to your grumpy, she can work as both little sister or big sister types, she is happy to encourage all those terrible but mundane ideas of your character (eg, she will give you cocaine but probably not help you commit genocide. Unless you have a really convincing argument). Also she is an incorrigible slut, even if she has fallen into a mostly monogamous situation.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Julie is really attached to the Singularity, I cannot overstate this. She is highly suspicious of anyone else she deems "too into" it (as she doesn't think they have a right to be), but if your character is chill and eases into the conversation, she likes to talk about it. She isn't open about what she can do or knows about it, since that could turn her into Abraxas's Most Wanted #1, but she has insights to be gained. If your character is on the level and can build up the trust enough, she might someday let them in on her secret. If your character also has some sort of special connection to it, she is much, much faster to warm up.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Istredd is a mage much older than he looks and he's a professional nerd, a historian, archaeologist, and bookworm. He is generally a calm and reserved person and an introvert, but he's forcing himself out of his comfort zone. He is available for teaching all newbies beginner's magic if they are new to things. Come hang out in his cool Horizon domain which is a tower full of books. He is one of the big conspiracy theorists in Thorne (there is a board of theories in the domain) and is obsessed with the Singularity.

CR YOU WANT: Honestly everything, he is slow to build close CR but happy to make friends, as he doesn't have many. And he didn't have any back home. He can be very oblivious and focused on his goals/interests more than being good at people so that sometimes comes up with new CR, could be negative if he's being a dope at your character.

Viktor is a scientist-slash-genius engineer-slash-BIG NERD. He's spent the last 6-7 years developing magitech with his research partner, which has not necessarily played out as he would have hoped, with much of his work being co-opted by rich people who are only interested in doing rich people things. He comes off as a fussy academic but is actually an agent of chaos who loves to break rules and do weird science and ponder orbs. Despite his general penchant for putting himself in danger by screwing around with unknown forces he does not fully understand and can't control, he is an idealistic, highly principled individual who believes that the purpose of scientific advancement is to improve lives. He’s soft-spoken but quietly ambitious, intellectually curious, and kind of an obsessive workaholic who is preoccupied with legacy.

I have an info and permissions post here and his app is here for further reading. Also a general heads up that Viktor is terminally ill—I content warn accordingly when relevant, but he basically has Fantasy Consumption and the desire to Not Die is a large part of his character motivation at his current canon point. VIKTOR IS NO LONGER TERMINALLY ILL. I still have an opt out just in case. Comments are screened!

CR YOU WANT:

✷ Science types, baybe. He hangs around the Cadens academies and likes to be in tune with the general scientific goings-on of the city. If you’re an engineer or a mechanic or another scientifically-inclined individual he would like to connect and swap notes! Also, you know, people to do weird magitech experiments with?? Technologically-inclined people to mentor??? He has, like, an undisclosed number of degrees and likes to talk about math and physics and stuff.

✷ Generally, his work involves faking magic via technological methods so he’s very jazzed about the real thing. His fancy Horizon power is identify, which means he can determine the magical properties of something by touching it. He can do this. For you!!! Beyond that he is usually testing projects in the Horizon (so that he can build a new one in the real world) if you want to stop by and say hi and ask him what the hell he’s doing. Now that he’s officially cured himself, I’d like to circle back around to some projects he had to sideline in favor of that, like audio recording, various translators, hydroponics projects, etc.
✷ Now that we’re At War, I would love to get him talking about how terrible this is, with either like-minded individuals or not. He’s finally in a situation where he is actively making decisions about whether he’s going to keep withholding his skills in order to avoid aiding the military, or if it’s worth making certain advancements to help people in this kind of environment. Let’s get philosophical.
✷ Viktor and Jayce have a business venture for all your "making things" needs. Bring him your terrible napkin scribbles and he will make your dreams a reality.
✷ He is now in RECOVERY from ILLEGAL MAGICAL SURGERY that he and some buddies performed at the end of January. In the aftermath the government raided his lab and stole all of the stuff he didn’t manage to burn and/or smash. You are welcome to hear about this if your character pays attention to such things. He’s pretty upset about this but also enjoys the fact that he’s not going to die. He has a whole life ahead of him and now needs to decide what to do with it.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Thancred is part of an organization called the Scions of the Seventh Dawn who are dedicated to protecting the realm of Eorzea (and beyond) while not being tied to any one nation, allowing them to not be beholden to political obligations. They do things like fight primals (false gods), save the realm from ancient beings who want to bring about calamities, and lots of other fun stuff. Thancred is particularly skilled in espionage, so he is here for infiltration, reconnaissance, subterfuge, survivalism... the list goes on. He comes off as cocky and charming at first glance, but in reality holds himself to a very high standard where he's constantly trying to prove himself, womp womp. He has gone through some character development in that arena and also had to learn how to be a dad.

CR YOU WANT:
• Thancred is pretty amiable and will strike up a conversation quite easily with just about anyone, though sometimes it might be for an ulterior motive. He might not be 100% open about himself at first, but he also isn't completely a closed book.
• THORNE PALS, COME AT ME. There are still some Thorne people I haven't started CR with, and I'd like to change that.
• He enjoys exploring in the Horizon, so any sort of run-in there is always an option.
• Sparring/training partners are always fun!
• He is in the middle of a plot where he is going to approach one of the Thorne NPCs about how the Queen is maybe not so great and maybe shouldn't be on the Throne (some light treason, you know), so if you're interested in that kind of thing, let me know! He's pretty careful with who he tells about it and how much he shares, but we can work toward it.
• Despite all his sneaky stuff, he also fills the tank role, so if you need someone to jump into a fight and take some hits, he's your guy.
• Other dads/parents in general! Let him talk about his daughter.
• Thancred's very close to Himeka, so anyone who is also close to her (or, conversely, who has negative CR with her) is bound to get the third degree from him. Or he'll at least be curious about them.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Nothing that I can think of, to be honest! I'm down for just about anything, including negative CR if things go that direction. Just expect Thancred to get real sassy if that happens, he doesn't hold back.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Following Queen Ellya's emotion-driven attack on the Free Cities, Thancred is definitely looking into how he can undermine her while also not just getting himself thrown into a dungeon cell. His current next step will be approaching Jolene Sybell, as mentioned above. A long-term goal of his will be to try and destabilize the crown and Ellya's power, or whatever the source of that power may be, so we'll see where this plot goes!

He will not at all be opposed to the idea of feeding out information from Thorne to other factions at this point, if he thinks it makes sense. Basically just going to be doing what he can from the shadows to uncover Thorne's secrets and hopefully do something about them.

Urianger is the goth mom healer of the group who's really into horoscopes, history, and using magic to solve all his mundane problems, as well as speaking Eorzeabethan Elizabethan English because he read too many old books as a child. He's generally on the more reserved side however he's always happy to talk research, and his seemingly bottomless reserves of patience mean he has a knack for connecting with all sorts of different types of people.

Initially he's going to be heavily invested in the Abraxian Arcanum, researching (and practicing) the land's celestial magicks, as well as trying to begin piece together what's been happening around here lately, and I'm looking forward to any and all CR that might bring his way!

CR YOU WANT:

★ Fellow magic-users who're studying magic in Thorne! Urianger will be without his planisphere and having to learn how to adapt to using a deck of Abraxian tarot cards, so he'll be putting in some intensive research hours in the library and teahouses. Study buddy, anyone?

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Galadriel is a 3,000+-year-old elf from Middle-earth (but still an age away from when we meet Bilbo, Frodo, and the like) — she's also far from becoming the stateswoman of Lothlorien that Cate Blanchett portrays in the Peter Jackson movies and much more of a headstrong warrior type that frequently gets in way over her head because she bulldozes into basic interactions with a particularly blunt air. Her biggest motivation these days is seeking vengeance for her big brother's death at the hand of the Dark Lord Sauron (yep, that guy is around and kicking), but she's also sort of gotten roped into monitoring the crafting of these new Rings of Power — which probably isn't going to be a big deal in the long run or anything, right?

CR YOU WANT: Anyone and everyone — fellow fantasy and magic worlds are always loved, but also folks from sci-fi and futuristic worlds so she can pick their brains on all the differences. She'll be fascinated by anyone who might be a species she's never encountered before, but then again, maybe there are some people around here who don't know elves, so it'll be even. She can be a fiercely loyal friend once she opens up to someone enough, but she's coming off of being pretty burned by a close connection (spoilers for the Rings of Power S1 finale) so it'll take time for her to let down those walls again for anyone who isn't Elrond. Additionally: people who want to spar or exchange fighting techniques, people who want to talk magic, people who have less patience for the politics of it all.
CR YOU DON'T WANT: Purely antagonistic CR unless it's sort of agreed upon, but Galadriel also tends to get off on the wrong foot with folks purely because of her bluntness, so I'm up for her making a poor impression with someone that slowly evolves into something better over time. She's Very Old and forgets how peopling works on occasion, so bear that in mind.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Galadriel is definitely a very proactive character — which often makes her come off as rather headstrong and fierce in will — and the reality is that she'll be a little less than pleased to be disrupted from her larger mission of fighting Sauron and ultimately avenging her brother. Being Summoned to another world is going to be difficult for her to face at first, but I can see her ultimately (after the initial resistance portion) having a willingness to become engaged, especially when it comes to the rising tensions and the ongoing war among the factions. While she might not be as much of a research nerd as her bestie Elrond is, she'll also definitely be looking into the Singularity and the old gods in an attempt to understand the world here. In terms of daily interactions with other characters in the setting, I can see her either forging allies readily and immediately or rubbing people the wrong way because she isn't always easy to get along with. There's really no telling which way it'll go with her, for the most part, but regardless, I want to bounce her off of anyone and everyone possible! (A small note re: spoilers: If you'd like me to avoid Rings of Power S1 spoilers in interactions, let me know and I can easily sidestep anything major!)

Welcome! It's Dee, we played together way back, glad to see you again! I loved the Rings of Power so much and Galadriel in it. I look forward to her being her intense self in Thorne.

This guy is Istredd from the Witcher, he's also in Thorne. He's a quiet nerd mage who teaches magic and recently did some light treason by throwing a secret Thorne mingle telling everyone there about how dangerous their situation is. She might hear about that from others, who know. He's one of the conspiracy theorists here and has a lot of information currently (not all of it entirely coherent). He has a cool domain which is a giant tower of books and a good place to chill in. He is introverted but likes people, he's just not very good at them. He's actually great with blunt people, he happens to be blunt himself! We will be putting together a welcome new people Thorne mingle soon.

I also have Jayce Talis hextechhead who is an inventor genius blacksmith in Free Cities, he is a nice and polite person who is the type of person someone might want to go through for special magic rings so. And then there's Jesper Fahey itookashot also in Free Cities who is just a young cheerful devil-may-care gunslinger. Istredd is most relevant but maybe the others will get in there someday.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Geralt is gruff and rough around the edges, and soft on the inside. He's surprisingly easy to get along with if you're able to overlook his brusque nature. Just don't try to bullshit him. Harder to get to know him well past the surface. Stuffed full of trauma, but he has his method of compartmentalizing. He's pretty good at killing monsters, handy with a blade, and prefers his solitude but likes company that he's comfortable with. Can be solicited with free drinks or food. He's extremely protective of the people he loves and will not hesitate to murder if necessary. Heavy association with wolves. Also has a daughter he would do anything for. More stuff about this fool.

CR YOU WANT:
+ Cheerful and persistent types to force him into friendship or anyone patient enough to get him to open up
+ People who will bully him or give him shit for being a grouch OR people he can (affectionately) bully in return because they're a little shit and they know it
+ Actual monsters, other monster hunters, and fellow outcasts he can befriend (or not befriend, as it may be)
+ People he can protect! Geralt has a pretty strong protective streak even if he won't admit it. Conversely, people who will be protective of him since that's a rare one
+ Characters with similarly orphaned/fucked up childhood backstories, especially those exposed to/committed violence at an early age or on the other hand, characters who have a wildly different upbringing than him
+ Harmless idiots who'll maybe rope him into some shenanigans against his better judgment
+ Negative CR is good, too! Geralt doesn't go out of his way to upset people, but he tends not to mince his words and he'll let you know if you're trying his patience. Also am 100% fine with people who'll be wary of him or don't like his habit of slicing people open as an answer to certain problems

CR YOU DON'T WANT:
Small talk is difficult since Geralt's just not the type, so I'm happy to handwave initial intros and toss them into the fray as needed. He's also hard to antagonize for the sake of antagonizing. I don't mind it per se, but it's unlikely that kind of interaction will go very far.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
+ Hunting. He's often out in the desert, so if you want your character to be rescued and/or get in the way, let me know, I'm always open to his day getting disrupted. Or join up with him on a hunt - he's not one to take partners but it can happen if they're both coincidentally out there. Likely, he'll be investigating what the Herald's have disturbed out in the Badlands over the next few months.

+ Theorizing & info. About monoliths, the multiverse, faction secrets, whatever. Geralt has been keeping track of a variety of happenings in Abraxas, including the Singularity, the Horizon, the factions, and more. He's also been here from the very start, so there's a few things he's experienced or knows of others might not. If he trusts you, you can get him talking.

+ Politics! Something Geralt prefers to avoid, then gets sucked in, anyway. He's protecting Ciri and believes the Singularity is what's keeping her safe from the Wild Hunt, so he is firmly against destroying it for this reason, which places him on a certain end of the political spectrum whether he wants that or not. If this leads to conflict, I'm all for it. Thorne also has a history of kidnapping and torturing him, and then they blew up Libertas, so. You know. THINGS HAPPENED. + Extremely grey morals! Geralt is a monster hunter who's also kind of perceived as a monster himself in a war-torn world where usually the humans are the worst monsters. Everything in his canon is blurry as fuck and even the best of them have their moments of doing some shit. He has his own philosophy on how to navigate all the chaos, and sometimes what he believes, what he says, what he wants, and what he does can all be contradictory. I'd love for things of this nature to come up.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Bartimaeus comes from an alternate world to ours ruled by 'magicians' who possess no real magic of their own and instead must summon spirits to the material plane, enslaving them to do their bidding. Bartimaeus is one such spirit. He's a 5000-year-old djinni who was first summoned in 3010 BC and has since been regularly summoned throughout human history – he's bitter, sarcastic and cynical, but he harbours a secret fondness for some humans that many of his kind don't share, because of a close relationship with a master long since dead. His recent experiences encompass an alternate early 21st Century, where the deeply corrupt British Empire is still alive and kicking, and he's been the on-again off-again servant of a young magician prodigy currently working for the British government, but he's had experience of an endless stream of long-gone empires rising and falling.

Bartimaeus is also a shapeshifter, and does so frequently! His most frequent form is the teenage boy you might have seen on the TDM, but he has a few other human faces and some animal ones too. To be clear, some of them are female faces, and I'm happy to play with whatever confusion comes from that! He would honestly respond to any pronouns.

A SMALL NOTE
The books make frequent use of footnotes from Bartimaeus's point of view to add additional info or perhaps snide comments (here is my favourite example) and I also use those in my tags. They can sometimes gently break the fourth wall, though he absolutely will not verbally break the fourth wall to your character! My footnotes are also always going to be in third-person. HOWEVER, if this bothers you for any reason, you can opt out here.

A BIG NOTE
As a djinni, Bartimaeus has access to something called the Seven Planes. They are seven separate but overlapping planes (obviously), and each one shows a different level of magical activity. For example, many elements of magic that are invisible on the first plane (the plane absolutely anyone can see) may be visible on higher planes, or magical objects which appear mundane on the surface may emit an aura or have a glow around them on higher planes. He can also in theory sense other magical folks this way, especially those who are 'disguised' on a surface level.

Generally speaking, I will assume that Bartimaeus can sense nothing unusual about your character. However, if you would like to play with this and have Bartimaeus recognise some element of your character (or a magical item of theirs) that isn't otherwise visible, you can opt in here.

CR YOU WANT: HONESTLY ANYTHING, I'm so excited to dip my toes in here. I'd love for Bartimaeus to make friends with some folks, human and non-human; he's going to be a bit reluctant to get involved in any political business at the outset, so CR building is something I'm interested in to get the ball rolling in that direction. I know he can be a little bit unpleasant for some, so I'm also happy to play a more antagonistic relationship – but he does snipe at everyone, even people he's friends with or people he respects! Other CR I would love: magicians/wizards/etc from different worlds who can show him a different side to humans with magic (also characters who have started to learn magic since entering the game!), people who need some tips and tricks on magic, people from worlds fairly close to Bart's but with notable divergences that they can discuss... gimme all of it pls

I have three fellas, two in Free Cities. Jayce here is the resident Summoned blacksmith now, he makes things for people as well as running a real business. He and his partner Viktor are inventors so they're around making things. He is generally a nice person and happy to help people out.

I also have Jesper Fahey itookashot from Grishaverse/Shadow and Bone and he's a charming confident young gunslinger who sells trinkets and generally is a man about time. He lives in the Summoned inn (for now) and he's extremely friendly so he greets newbies a lot. He has a lot of information about Abraxas in general too so can be a good resource.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Kyle in internal narration/brackets refers to himself as Kahlil, which is a religious title. He comes from a really crappy world called Basawar, and spent about ten years on Earth watching over a dude who was actually the incarnation of part of his god. Some stuff happens and he loses a huge chunk of his memory + gains some new weird ones. His canon point is from around the time he thinks he's died/has sort of figured out some things he'd forgotten.

Kyle has the ability to travel through something called the Gray Space, which lets him walk through places unseen and can sort of observe the real world from there + some fast travel space folding aspects. It's pretty nerfed here with magical wards of stuff, but he has been talking more about the concept and how it works lately.

His canon is pretty dark, so he has an opt-out here!

CR YOU WANT: Friends, enemies, new CR and deepening current CR, I'm wide open. He's more open about how religious he is and likes to hear about others worlds + their religions. His domain is a temple that's generally open for random people to enter.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Kyle works as a courier for Castle Thorne, so he travels through the castle city, Nott and every so often Borrel. I have some plot engagement stuff on hold right now waiting to see how the next event goes, but he has worked as a spy/assassin in the past and is lowkey gathering info wherever he goes, especially regarding Thorne's war efforts. He's someone who will do dirty work for the greater good, right now that means anything that keeps the current group of Thorne Summoned safe.

Kyle also has some truly wacky theories regarding the Abraxan gods and the nature of the Singularity, relating to his own experience with his world and his god. Some of them are OOCly incorrect (like how he thinks a being currently in his domain followed him from a strange place people got teleported to during another event). His own faith is incredibly important to him, and while he does go out of his way to put clues together with folks, sometimes it's more important to him that he feels something is correct, or a sign from his god.

Theme-wise I've been playing with his memory issues, he has memories that don't make sense re: his past and has been fully rejecting them. So tapping into his mind at some point in the future and doing something with that might be cool.

Long story short, he had a really bad week that started with him being wanted for a murder he didn’t commit (the satanic panic of it all) and ended with him getting munched on by some mutant monster-bats.

In game time, he’s 21, and repeated his senior year twice back home. He doesn’t like conformity, but he does like D&D and rock music to an obsessive degree. He’s super dramatic and super nervous. He’s incredibly intense and might look like he’s gonna strangle you if you even try to insult his favorite bands, but he’s a kind-hearted dude who genuinely wants to help and do the right thing and has a serious soft spot for those who “don’t belong”.

She a laid back person who goes with the flow even in some of the most dire situations, rather than plan likes to jump into things head first and see what happens, and generally is keen to be helpful to anyone around her. She sees big cosmic moving quests as important as catching the lost chickens for a local farmer. She can be easily distracted by this things but eagerly wants to explore the world. I like to say she's chaotic good, heavy on the chaotic side and tends to be very blunt despite how overtly friendly she can be. She is a powerful mage in her homeworld who is skilled in both white and black magicks. Fishing and dragon enthusiast. "I'm a healer, but" meme.

CR YOU WANT: Any and all! She has a tendency to adopt/foster wayward teenagers and also promote/encourage both good and bad behaviors in both. I always love for her to get to talk to other magic users and compare notes or be something of a guinea pig for non-magic users. She's prone to wandering and random exploration so anyone else similarly inclined would be more than welcome. She tends to see monster hunters and adventurers as kindred spirits upon meeting. Also fellow foodies is a big plus.

Himeka is used to talking to just about anyone from any walk of life, so if you need someone to randomly chat up your character or listen to their life story? She's your girl. Positive? Negative? CHARACTER INFORMATION: Altaïr comes from the corner of an alternate-history canon with some interesting wrinkles in how the fiction intersects with the historical record. He is a member of the brotherhood of Assassins, which was a known (if secretive) faction during his era; unlike other AssCreed installments, if you landed in Damascus circa 1191 and asked for directions to the Assassins' fuck-off huge fortress, someone could actually give you directions. (And then ask why the fresh hell you wanted to go there.)

He is freshly from the end of the first Assassin's Creed game, which means he has recently gotten a lot wiser about the meaning of his creed, what his place is in the world, and why you shouldn't be an enormous douchebag just because you're a star athlete. With the enthusiasm of a new convert, he's going to try and get up and around and learning about everything, please someone club him in the head so he'll sleep at some point.

Altaïr also has a fun color-coded sixth sense that tells him whether someone is a friend/enemy/etc (NOT whether they are a good/bad person). If you'd like to set a baseline of how your character would appear to him/whether I should OOCly always use/never use/ask before using Eagle Vision on your character, please fill out this handy-dandy permissions post! You can also come back and change it at any time.

Probably the only CR that wouldn't initially work as well is CR that's dependent on characters actively pursuing small talk for the sake of winning friends and influencing people, as Altaïr is pretty to-the-point and doesn't go out of his way to chat just to chat. That said, all he needs is a reason, and I'm happy to come up with one to kickstart a thread, so let's talk!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
-Info-gathering! This isn't really a defined project, but while Altaïr appreciates that Free Cities leadership has not attempted to conscript the Summoned, he doesn't trust that this will never happen and his default state is suspicion. He'd like to have more of a finger on the pulse wrt what's happening within the various factions so that base-case scenario the Summoned can be more proactive, worse-case scenario they can react to happenings prudently.

-Money! Dude is not materialistic but he's pragmatic enough to understand that he needs some cash to get by. Since he doesn't plan to be a soldier, I'm always up for him doing weird odd jobs. One-offs are fine but ongoing "business" relationships make great CR building.

-Exploration! Oh god he always wants to explore so bad. At his canon point, he just saw a projection of the world-as-a-globe and had his mind opened to just how much there is to learn, so he wants to check out E V E R Y T H I N G in this new environment. Also he has to get informed if he wants to blend in as needed. Dude is a NERD.

-Philosophy! Come talk to Altaïr about how you see the world. Then let him tell you his own thoughts. Do you like Empedocles? (said in the same tone of voice as "do you like anime?") He's not going to start recruiting for the brotherhood of Assassins without any infrastructure backing him up, but he'll absolutely seek to share the guidance of their philosophy.

-Murder! Okay, well, this is not ICly a priority, he is an Assassin but doesn't just kill for the sake of killing. That said, it's what he's good at, and I am down to clown with any such plots that involve these skills.

-He might be joining the circus more or less (that totally counts as hiding in plain sight) so it could be fun to do a thing with that.

Hilda is one of Fodlan's It Girls, a self-proclaimed delicate flower, spoiled, and allergic to work. There is a 100% chance that she will probably find a way to pawn it off on someone else unless coerced or bribed into it.

In all seriousness, Hilda is the youngest daughter of the Goneril house and more or less believes that she'll only disappoint others if she tries to do anything but play the part of a nobleman's daughter. She might act like an air head, but she's more perceptive than she makes herself out to be and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about. She's a DIY queen and loves making her own jewellery and accessories. She's deadly with an axe in her hands, a Big Flirt, super friendly, is a fantastic shopping buddy/hypewoman but will also keep you humble in the exact same breath.

CR YOU WANT:

Any and all! If your character runs into Sylvain, Petra, or Claude, feel free to assume that that's an easy in with Hilda since she lives with them above the Sarstina. She sometimes picks up shifts at the bar as well to make some cash, but she's probably flirting/talking instead of working. Hilda has actually been up to more than she'd like to admit since her arrival!! She's starting to design her own jewellery (and is exploring how to make it functional, what a concept), will hopefully make some headway into the Aquila fashion district. She's also coming to terms with the fact that she's unalive in another timeline, so if you too have fun/awful timeline related stories, Hilda's your gal to commiserate.

Other general things I'd like to explore is Hilda trying to learn magic in the way that suits her best (see jewellery), or something to force her hand into learning something useful that isn't Unseen Servant, political things, and opportunities for her to swing an axe around because it's been a Hot Second. She's been visiting some of the orphanages in Libertas, but I'd love to get her more involved with the artsy side of things or more charitable/volunteer work.

Generally though, anything that helps bolster her anxiety and get over this mental block that she's just destined to be a failure is something I'd love to explore with her.

CR YOU WANT: everyone! from all factions! magic-adjacent folk for morgana to form allies and bonds, people with royal/high titles for morgana to scoff at, loners betrayed by family/friends for morgana to sympathize with, those familiar with arthurian legends and morgana le fay (telling her about stories heard or read is fine as long as the "fiction" part of it isn't central), manipulators with conniving plans for morgana to scheme with (or eventually betray! or be betrayed by), etc etc. morgana can be fickle and off-putting but there are plenty of ways to get on her good side, so she's not incapable of forming friendships. it just leans towards complicated.as for romance, it's not out of the picture, but morgana has huge trust issues and higher priorities so prepare for a good slow burn if things ever steer that way (flings are easier but she'd likely also be treating them like dirt).
CR YOU DON'T WANT: i'm plenty okay with negative cr, especially with a character like morgana, but i'd very much like to discuss it and keep open communication about any heavy negative turns in cr, just to stay up to speed about the direction it might go.
PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: there are so many potential avenues to take morgana, i barely know where to start. first and foremost, morgana is a schemer who'd been hellbent on taking the throne in camelot, wanting to make herself queen. her main intent is to obtain power and more influence, which she'd just as easily attempt to do here even if it's a shift from her plans at home. after all, it can only further help her position. starting in solvunn definitely makes those plans trickier and she'll hate where she ends up, but it'll make her all the more inclined to learn about what goes on in the other factions, especially in thorne. on one side, she could potentially go on a power-hungry road, scheming and betraying allies and enemies along the way. on another, she could be softened into the girl she once was who just wanted to live peacefully and quietly with her magic. the direction she goes in will all depend on the kind of bonds and threads she explores, so i'd be definitely up for anything in terms of experimenting and letting the arc be guided wherever it flows! but to start, she'll be continuing her struggle of that hobo witch life she hates so much.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Claude is a former duke and military commander who comes from the end of the Verdant Wind route of FE3H where he was the lone nation leader of the three countries involved to survive the war. Due to route differences, he may say something different about Fodlan and what happened there compared to info from other FE3H characters (asking about/questioning him on this IC is good with me!). While he's very outwardly friendly, he keeps most everyone at arm's length and uses that friendliness as a shield until he decides whether he can trust them. It's a fairly long process. Being overly casual and irreverent is his way of making himself not be taken seriously so no one looks at what he might be up to in the background too closely, and he doesn't particularly care to always tell the truth when asked something. He's always looking to gather information and may nonchalantly find a way into things for his own reasons, whatever they may be.

CR YOU WANT:

● Friends, new and old! He can be difficult to get to know, but he'd sure like to learn everything about you you're willing to share. He could also be a mentor, depending, and gravitates towards people who also have outsider vibes. Something to bond over eventually, maybe? Either way, people to annoy into friendship (or just be annoyed) are good.
● People to chat philosophy or worldviews with. Claude's morals are less flexible than they appear, in some ways, and given that he went through a war at home and is staring one down here then getting into that with others who'd be willing to share is something he'd like a lot. Disagreements in this with conflicting views work too!
● People who might be interested in being research partners even if it's informal. Since arriving he's been researching everything he has access to so teaming up with others or working on projects he could assist with in whatever ways he can would be excellent. His current interests are botany, healing, and learning ice magic but truthfully just about anything in Abraxas or someone else's world can qualify as something he'd like to know.
● Things with those in Thorne or Solvunn. If CR gets to a point of information sharing or starts that way, even better. He has an interest in the Abraxan governments - in the sense of how they can be influenced, that is - and would be willing to share what he can about the Free Cities since he doesn't trust them.
● I'm open to just about anything and also good with using anything as a starting point for something else. I'm happy to build on any ideas in here or to plot and/or hand-wave to get basic intro stuff in place and start further in. Consider me ready at any time to deepen existing CR too if we want to plot a way for that to happen.

Immediate shipping is off the table since it'll require a good amount of CR development thanks to Claude having some trust issues. One time or ongoing casual and/or complicated flings are all good (same for plotting to something more too if it heads that way because even if Claude has complicated feelings about feelings, I do love a good ship). ● He's a talented archer and fairly savvy with swords and axes, so any kind of guard missions, teaming up with someone, hunting, etc. would be great. He can also give someone fantasy medieval weaponry lessons!
● Somewhat along those lines, would you like to trade canon magic? He knows a couple healing magic spells meant to heal others as well as wind spells meant for attack. They're ones that he would be happy to trade knowledge of for your character's knowledge or simply teach.
● Does your character have multiple timelines, universes, etc. and would they like to chat about it? I'm up for including this as a topic inside a thread where something else is going on if it's easier to make it not the main focus.
● The time has come for politics. He tried to avoid getting involved for a while in favor of observing closely and, well. That didn't work. He's too invested in making sure the Summoned aren't hurt by what's going on but also that the Free Cities' citizens aren't either. There's a few loose threads he'd like to follow up on from the past few months. Claude's started doing this somewhat already and would be willing to do this with others. Also, he could probably start revealing he did once run a country through this.
● Claude is also looking to get involved with charities or some type of charitable work. He's been volunteering with orphanages, assisted in infirmaries immediately after the attack, and would like to continue with causes meant to help Free Cities citizens. He's got a vague idea of linking his botany interests to some kind of farming if anyone would be interested in potentially teaming up as a likely very long-term plan since it's in beginning brainstorming stages. He currently has an odd looking garden of different potted plants with a couple that may or may not be poisonous in a back alley in Cadens for this ongoing experiment, if anyone would like to stumble across it or say they have and we can go from there.
● Are you also staying in Abraxas? It's recently occurring to Claude more and more that being here is some kind of permanent now that he's been here for over half a year. He has some mixed feelings about this given he has Things To Do at home and with the complications of that timeline nonsense with his friends... maybe staying wouldn't be terrible. This would be good for deepening CR, chats with newly arrived, etc.

QUICK MATHS:
→ Characters who can sense magic, energy, or power can probably sense that he's basically a walking sponge of cosmic void-rift energy, holding enough for several lifetimes — this also makes him the ideal candidate to serve as a vessel for godlike beings.
→ He has a complicated brain disorder that leads to hallucinations, lost time, blacking out, and fucked up sleep. He has a combination of narcolepsy and somnambulism with an inability to reach past the lighest stages of sleep 99% of the time, meaning he retains some blurry, dreamlike awareness of his surroundings save for the occasional hour of sleep at night every few days. CHARACTER INFORMATION: An orphan for as long as she can remember, Nadine had a crummy childhood involving various foster homes, Catholic run children's homes, and also being claimed by Stephen King's version of Satan's Right Hand Man (Randall Flagg) as his future bride. Which happened when she was 12 and sort of ruled her life until she was in her late 30s and a super plague wiped out most of humanity. She lived a very solitary life without friends or much else aside from her career - elementary school teacher. Then things got even worse and she did some regrettable stuff in the service of Randall Flagg, actually married him, and then ended up here.

In Abraxas she's studied Academic Magic, though it's more a hobby than a serious pursuit. She's a second year medical student and practicing apothecary - she just got her commercial medical research license - with a clinic in Cadens. She lives with Julie Lawry and they're currently looking for a permanent home. She also is involved in an open relationship with Jaskier, and utilizing his magical plant growing powers is in the process of bringing medical marijuana to The Free Cities and hopefully beyond.

She's friendly and amicable on the surface, but very slow to trust and bond deeply with others. Loves kids and automatically Moms at younger characters. Lots of dark and disturbing themes in her past. But she's mostly trying hard to be a better person here.

CR YOU WANT: ANY AND ALL! Absolutely love throwing Nadine against other medical/healer types, where that's become a big thing for her. Also kids, obviously, and anyone under 21 is a kid to her. She can always use more friends, she's still relatively new to having Real Friends. But really I am open to anything.
