State of the Game

December - January (2022-2023)

Welcome to our State of the Game! Here, you can read about what might be going on in the world around Abraxas and with the characters in it. Every AC period, you can report what your character has been up to and we'll include all relevant information in the next newsletter.

We encourage you to use the information here to springboard new CR or plots if you're so inclined. Our Plot Engagement and World Building page are always open for submissions, though new Plot Engagements are currently closed this month for the event!

This month, a few new monsters have been added to the Bestiary, and some NPCs have been added to Solvunn.

World Events

Mediation | LINK
In an effort to enter the world stage, the Lunae of Nocwich stepped in to host a mediation between the three major nations. This involved making sure the Summoned and other important officials were contained in one place during the week of the Dimming. Though attendance was not as voluntary as they might've liked, the Summoned were nonetheless able to enjoy an all-expenses paid "vacation" to Luna and sail on the luxurious Arcanis.

Negotiations were considered relatively successful. No incidents occurred, and the three nations came to the agreement outlined here.

Sea Giants | LINK
Having decided to attempt to call upon the will of the ocean gods, Solvunn sent an offering into the sea, resulting in sea giants - creatures from the ocean deep - beaching themselves on the shores of each nation.

In the weeks following the beached sea giants, reports of a surge in fish in the ocean begin to come in from each nation. While this doesn't last forever, and the fish shortage is not entirely resolved, the modest boon is a welcome surprise to all. Solvunn has seen this as a sign that the creatures were a test from the gods, and that they were rewarded for passing.

After Lucifer's interrogation, several more of the Summoned are questioned by Thorne officials. Prince Wilhelm received light disciplinary action during the interrogation.

After Claude's questioning, several more of the Summoned are questioned by Free Cities officials. Geralt of Rivia and Dean Winchester received disciplinary action.

Assigned to begin restoration in Libertas of public works, Alucard and Jaskier begin by designing a memorial park in honor of the lives lost during the attack in August.

Solvunn Commune

Wanda is questioned by a member of the Solvunn commune to ensure she's happy with her place in the settlement.

Singularity Crater

The Singularity
Several of the Summoned from Thorne go on an undisclosed assignment to the Singularity's crater during the Dimming. They're also assigned to deliver a casket to the Singularity, as Thorne has done each year.

May have been seen bringing gifts to an orphanage in Libertas, as well as spending time with the children. Petra also delivered supplies and food.
