Mod Communications / Randomization
If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!
You can also use this section to request a randomized mod roll.

Interactions
Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.
Interact
IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

HYDNELLIA & ESMOND

Character Name: Jack Townsend
Other characters involved: Nobody in particular, though other characters are free to eavesdrop on this.
Action: In the evenings following their escape, probably while their group is huddled around a fire for the night, Jack will go sit with the pair and make quiet conversation with them.
Thread: There will be a general top level here but not specifically about this.
Notes: He'll be very mild, unobtrusive, and he won't sound judgmental at all, just earnestly curious as he asks some pretty straightforward questions to the effect of:
-hey, so what's your guys's deal, anyway?
-do you want some of this campfire squirrel that huge white-haired hunter guy caught, or like some magic gas station coffee or something?
-why are you cultists?

Hydnellia tells him that she and her brother once lived in Solvunn, in the Tertiary Settlement. Several months ago, they left their home seeking a cure for someone dear to them, but this promise was never fulfilled. She explains that until the Summoned underwent a similar experience, she is the only known survivor of the ritual. Esmond grumbles from a distance that he'd told her leaving home was a bad idea.
She is quite glad to receive a squirrel. She does not like the bitter taste of Jack's beverage if he gives her coffee, but politely thanks him nonetheless.

After a few minutes, he'd ask her if she knew what the point of it all was? What was the ritual meant for, what were they even trying to do there?

She does not know if Josselyn was right but she does believe the Summoned such as Jack are special. She asks if he saw anything after the ritual like another vision?
no subject
He'd ask if that meant anything to her, or if it sounded familiar?

He'd like to know if they're going back to Solvunn, and eventually would ask if they wanted to be like penpals or something after all this is over. Just to keep in touch and see how they're doing later.

Character Name: Ciri
Action: After Geralt and Aloy go look for Team Water Tunnel, Ciri takes it upon herself to "be in charge" of the group camping out waiting for them to return with the other escapees. During this time, she will be keeping a close eye on Esmond and Hydnellia, clearly distrustful -- but she does make sure they get food, provides survival tips and assistance, etc. (If either of them wanders from the camp, she'll follow though.)
One of the first things she does is ask if they have anything that will help: any supplies (such as the glass jar she took from another acolyte), weapons, healing salves, or even local knowledge.

Esmond will offer her his draught for warmth. The bottle is small, but only a drop or two is required. It will keep the user warm for a few hours at a time.

Perhaps a couple days in, considering they seem to be on tentatively good terms, Ciri will approach Hydnellia and ask her for some details about the ritual.
1. Is the ritual Hydnellia underwent the same as what they put the Summoned through? Ciri remembers something about being told the Summoned are chosen to commune with the gods, so she wonders what the point is of doing it on regular folk. (she may or may not be correct in her understanding of what the Acolytes actually said; the ritual was stressful)
2. She asks if Hydnellia also saw visions, vaguely at first. If Hydnellia asks for further details, Ciri will mention the shadowy humanoid figure and a tower in the desert borne by some tentacled beast.

1. Though formally unwilling to discuss it, Hydnellia reluctantly acknowledges she went through something similar, though she wasn't allowed to know what they did. It's possible her ritual may have been different as one of the earliest candidates. She says Josselyn's initial goal was to explore a way for an Abraxan native to receive the same ability to commune with the Old Gods, who were visiting the Summoned in visions, and granting them shared dreams or memories.
2. She saw no vision, though this is the result they had wanted for her and the other natives. She tells Ciri that another Summoned at the camp described a similar vision. She believes the vision is important if more than one of them shared it.

1. Ciri will admit she doesn't know much about Solvunn's beliefs. She asks if there are any methods native Abraxans currently use to commune with the Old Gods, and if the gods have appeared in such ways as the Heralds did recently (if Hydnellia knows about that). Was Josselyn grabbing haphazardly for any connection with any god, or did she have someone specific in mind?
2. She thanks Hydnellia for the information about the other Summoned, and proceeds to ask what Hydnellia herself makes of the vision. Ciri is able to describe it in detail, considering she saw it many times (though she doesn't share that tidbit). Again, she mentions she's a newcomer unfamiliar with their gods. Is anything in the vision reminiscent of any god she knows? Shadowy figure is pretty vague, but the tentacle-beast-tower thing?

2. Unfortunately, Hydnellia is unable to provide much insight. She tells Ciri that the Summoned are special, and that what they experienced is beyond her ability to comprehend. She believes it must be a sign from the gods and that the gods are the only ones who could explain what they want.
