Mod Communications / Randomization

If you have something you want to do related to the event plot, you can communicate and coordinate with us here. This includes NPC meetings, requesting large resources, destroying the environment, or anything else that may require mod permission to proceed. If we can't accommodate a request for any reason, we'll do our best to offer an alternative!

Interactions

Several interactions are available. For Part 2, there are fewer mysteries to uncover, but plenty to interact with to see what happens. You can interact with something as many times as you want, as long as there's a reasonable explanation for your character making their second attempt. Note that interactions might carry IC consequences, though we'll try to telegraph when characters are at high risk of triggering something. To interact, fill out the form, then comment under the corresponding item.

IC Exchanges

Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about an event they witnessed together, you might want to do an IC exchange.

Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

Unlike investigations in Part 1, interactions in Part 2 depend on your character's location and the timing rather than their assigned group. Both the Spared and the Lost can interact with the same elements as long as they'll feasibly be there to do so.

Developments only apply to things that all characters can see or learn for themselves, such as a locked door that's now broken. We will not be tracking information revealed to individual characters. Characters will have to communicate with each other on their own to learn those details.

Action: wanda learned through natasha that josselyn has brothers throughout abraxas and that they've been "managing trade negotiations" between factions. natasha will have told wanda that the brothers didn't seem to have known about what she was planning. they shouldn't have to answer for her crimes, but wanda thinks it'd be prudent to have them around, so that should josselyn be cagey during wrap-up/interrogation, perhaps family could bring something out of her or they could get some information from them regarding where she is, her efforts, or state of mind.
Thread: where michael and wanda find out about josselyn through scrying, their informing the council about her, thread discussing with natasha about the creeds, the bros ain't so bad

Action: josselyn's warded door is a big pain in the ass, but they have some items/clues and will try to make use of them. these are the items they currently have:

1. enchanted ledger (found by carl and eddie)
2. black substance sample (collected by wanda)
3. jars and books from the house (collected by michael and claire)
4. blackened root and blood in a bottle inside a book (found by alucard)
5. the symbol from the abduction sites/wanda's vision
6. the name of the god nikodaemus (brought forth by kyle)
7. information from the council about what they might need to open the warded door

we're thinking they need to engineer the black substance, but before they start guessing at proportions from each jar, etc, wanda would like to have a look at the enchanted ledger. she'll be able to see that the ink contains an enchantment, hiding some of its contents. in my mind, timeline-wise, this is after her pact with soris...? not sure if relevant.

ANYWAY, for starters, she will be using her magic to try and remove the enchantments to get to the real contents of the ledger.

Thread: enchanted ledger is found, collection of the substance and noticing the strange symbol around, vial of blood being found, nikodaemus name, information about the warded door, jars and books found in the house.
Notes: granted, whether this affects anything in the event or has a bigger significance during the wrap-up (or beyond), it's good. there were probably more people involved in this but i'm not even sure i got all the threads i wanted to get lmao ;-;

Action: When the dominoes begin to fall, Jack will jump at the chance to fulfill his promise and insist on helping the brother/sister duo get out. When the acolyte requests someone stay for them, Nero will be the one sacrificing himself for that endeavor while Cas, Istredd, and the other folks who were volunteering to hold the webbing keep the door open for them.

Notes: He'll be very mild, unobtrusive, and he won't sound judgmental at all, just earnestly curious as he asks some pretty straightforward questions to the effect of:

Action: After Geralt and Aloy go look for Team Water Tunnel, Ciri takes it upon herself to "be in charge" of the group camping out waiting for them to return with the other escapees. During this time, she will be keeping a close eye on Esmond and Hydnellia, clearly distrustful -- but she does make sure they get food, provides survival tips and assistance, etc. (If either of them wanders from the camp, she'll follow though.)

One of the first things she does is ask if they have anything that will help: any supplies (such as the glass jar she took from another acolyte), weapons, healing salves, or even local knowledge.

Action: In response to Sten's correspondence, Alucard fully intends to take up his offer to speak in person. He brings the contained sample of wood with him (just to get a different perspective from Solvunn's elders), as well as the blood vial he discovered in Josselyn's home. In an attempt to show he's willing to listen to the particulars about transformative rituals, he approaches Sten in his own white wolf form before transforming back into a people. He'll also make it clear that he is very, very grateful for Sten's help.

Notes: Using this format as I wasn't sure if a NPC thread would be more appropriate and with full knowledge of all the work y'all are doing with this.

RITUAL CURE

Action: given what yennefer has learned from ikorr regarding the elements of the cure, yennefer will go to Nightbloom to retrieve some of their sacred flower, and she will reach out to Jaskier to go to Lunar Pond for the werewolves' moon-blessed water, knowing that he has a much better relationship with them. Once retrieved, she is going to attempt to experiment with the three ingredients based off of her own understanding of the sap she has been working with for months now. In addition, she will bring into play (if necessary) what she learned about the illusionary magic they discovered here (if that is at all part of it), as well as what jaskier has learned through his conversations with sten. she will have brought her own collection of ingredients and such that she has been using during her alchemy studies back in thorne, but also is not against reaching out to others (from solvunn, specifically) who might be able to help.
