MAGIC PAGE UPATE & QUESTIONS

Magic Page Update
Hello, Abraxans!

We've made some updates to details on the Magic Page to help clarify two of the forms of Magic.
Academic Magic now has the following description to help confirm how spellcasting sounds and what it looks like when learning:

The benefit of Academic Magic is that it does not require an intuitive understanding of magic. However, users must execute their spells with precision. The language used in Academic Magic is based on an ancient Thornean tongue, which carries tonal similarities to Scandinavian languages. While the meaning of the words are primarily lost, it's essential to pronounce the spell accurately.

Wild Magic now has the following description to help fold it into characters' natural tendencies to mess up a spell when first learning, as well as allow characters a certain degree of access to a version of Wild Magic without formally learning it:

The most unique aspect of Wild Magic is that some of the Summoned might be unintentionally using it to a moderate degree.

This can occur for two reasons. The first is because certain forms of magic from their canon might lean heavily on magic through emotion, similar to Wild Magic. The second is that, without being trained as children like the natives, the Summoned may instinctively reach for Abraxan Magic through intuition and emotion. This is what results in unpredictable spells when the Summoned first begin to learn magic. Over time, as they choose the path of Academic Magic, High Magic, or New Magic, they can refine their skill and move away from Wild Magic itself.

While characters can self-teach control to a modest degree, to learn Wild Magic formally, they must travel to Nott in search of a teacher or find another Summoned who's studied Wild Magic. Otherwise, their magic will continue to rely heavily on their emotional state, causing higher-level spells to be unpredictable and hard to control.

Questions
If you have any questions about the magic system or the types of magic in Abraxas, please ask them below. Since there are many forms of magic and avenues of learning, we want to make sure everything is clear!

We'll add any relevant information to the Magic Page once questions are collected and answered so that players can easily reference it.

Note that there's no need to learn any form of magic if you don't want to! Characters can progress in the game and become deeply involved in the plot without the use of magic. Developing and using character relationships, political connections, and other elements of the game are equally viable paths to accomplishing your goals.

Would a character know they are tapping into Wild Magic? Kell's Antari magic is very precise in that it uses certain words of a dead language, his elemental magic is more intuitive, but does not rely on emotions (he's supposed to be calm to be able to control it). Would be able to unintentionally use Wild Magic then? How would he know that he's using it, if he is?

What are the effects of mispronouncing an Academic Magic spell? Unexpected effects or none at all?

Sorry to bug you with one more for Wild Magic.
I play Kell as having more personal relation with his magic. So his practice is affected by his general mood.
Since he is in Thorne, he studies Academic magic, but would there be a situation that if he gets seen unintentionally accessing Wild Magic would he get criticized for it? Like getting a stern talking to that he should stick to doing the spells correctly and not trying to find shortcuts?
