Anomalous Beasts:

• darkhounds — they'll kind of remind him of some of the monsters from back home but it definitely won't be good memories. he won't like these guys at all.
  
• faust — he won't know what the hell to do this with one. but i want him to experience it and try and figure out what the hell to do and how to fight the guy.
  
• myriapod — watch nikolai try and figure out how to ride this thing.

Interested Locations:

• whitehill village — he'll be more interested in being outside the castle but he will try and protect the flower
  
• frostwurm tunnel — the history will attract him.

Activities:

• fighting creatures — while lacking the abilities of the grisha, he's still a scrappy fighter and a lot smarter than he might let on. he knows how to take someone or something down.
  
• escorting people to safety — he'll definitely want to be in the thick of things, helping people to get back to safety
  
• rescuing people — he'll be the idiot putting himself in between one of the creatures and the monsters. better him than anyone else.

Unique Skills: nikolai's a good fighter but he's also got a very sharp mind so he'll be happy to use for strategy. he's used to leading so with people bringing injured natives back, he'll do his best to try and help put them in safe places.

General plans: (Anything else!) he hasn't really explored his horizon yet so i might chuck him there only to have what he builds get destroyed by a monster.
