INTERLUDE: CURIOS
Interlude - Curios
At the start of SEPTEMBER, Abraxas sees the arrival of three curious individuals. Members of a wandering band of entertainers - each with unique talents ranging from divination to eating stone - their faces are familiar to locals. They typically come at the end of summer to amuse children and adults alike. Though considered peculiar, they're seen as harmless and are generally welcomed. The entertainers will stay for two weeks before departing.
Each individual will make an appearance in one of the factions as listed below:
Due to all the destruction after the chaos, though, they've decided to pitch in and help with the cleanup using their odd skills. Additionally, they've brought some free curios that they hope will grant a bit of joy to all.
Characters can take an item or two for themselves or help deliver them around cities and towns. The following items are available from all three entertainers:
Each individual will make an appearance in one of the factions as listed below:
◎ Thorne
Solaris the Strong is half-daemon, though her appearance is almost fully that of a daemon. Capable of lifting an entire wagon (and its horses) above her head, she'll use her talents to move debris and carry heavy equipment. She'll primarily be in Nott, where her presence is most accepted, but will occasionally visit the outskirts of the other cities.
◎ Free Cities
Grimoire the Gazing Eye is rumored to be Fey-touched. It's unclear whether his pointed ears are a born trait or an illusion cast. He'll mind the children and keep them out of dangerous areas by performing parlor tricks and telling them their "future." His predictions are on a very small scale - for example, their grades on the next exam, whether their crush will ask them out, or if they'll find a lucky penny in the next hour.
◎ Solvunn
Geldred the Hungersmith is rumored to be either Fey-cursed or God-cursed. He can eat anything and everything, from tree bark to rocks to chunks of metal. Because Solvunn has few places to dump wreckage, Geldred will assist by swallowing any rubble like a handy trash compactor.

Characters can take an item or two for themselves or help deliver them around cities and towns. The following items are available from all three entertainers:
◎ Tiny Tasty Sugarballs, a sweet treat for any adult or child! They dye your tongue a mystery color upon dissolving which corresponds to a "fortune" written on a card: red for lucky love, blue for fortuitous friendships, and green for hearty humors.
◎ Butterfly Flute, an instrument that summons illusory butterflies and makes you levitate while playing for about thirty seconds. Typical of cheap trinkets, the enchantment wears off after a month or two, after which it'll just be a standard wooden flute of mediocre quality.
◎ Rejuvanating Bath Potion, which promises to aid healing and help with lingering aches from a hard day's work - useful if you've been laboring all day around the city or have wounds from a hard-won battle.
Delivering curios is part of this month's Quests. To participate, characters can sign up.
It is not necessary to sign up to play out making deliveries. You can thread the activity at your leisure without formally taking part in any Quest.

Questions and Answers
If after reading these you're still unsure about anything, or your question wasn't covered, please feel free to hit up our Questions thread below!
- Where are these entertainers from? Why did they show up only now?
- They'll tell you they're from all over, and their origin stories occasionally vary. They tend to arrive when the "Arcana and the stars align." It can be anywhere from a few months to years between visits.
- Are the three of them the only members?
- There are additional members, but they haven't appeared this time. They may be off traveling somewhere.
- How many of each curio can each character take?
- There's no strict limit, but please be reasonable OOC even if IC your character would not! Additionally, the entertainers only brought with them a certain amount.
- Are the factions okay with the entertainers?
- Yes, due to their oddities and the fact that none of them are fully human, they can travel freely without causing political impact. They make camp in various territories. Often, they rely on the goodwill of those around them.
