CHARACTER INFORMATION: Arthus is the pinnacle of the English Everyman. Polite, vaguely nervous, bookish....
Oh and he comes from an AU Earth where World War II was just World War I all over again, and his chain of islands was invaded, occupied, did terrible things under occupation, and now the whole community is cut off from the world and everyone is forced by law to take memory altering happy pills and behave in very specific ways.
Arthur chose to stop taking his happy pills, started realizing how very messed up his society is - I can't even begin to get into it in a basic blurb - and was kicked out and left to die for refusing to conform. He spent a hellish month trying to escape and open up people's eyes to the true state of their community, but no one would listen to him. And now he's here!
His world is very strange and he's very screwed up from it, but he also knows all of this. He wants to be a normal person, and experience actual emotions that don't come from a pill, and learn how to actually connect with and have relationships with other people. And he will not be shy about talking about how screwed up and cultish a place he comes from - though some things he will keep to himself. We don't talk about The Very Bad Thing.
CR YOU WANT: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Arthur is brand new, does not know how to interact with people on a normal level, and is desperate to find a place in this new community. Having A Place is very important. He's still trying to shake off twenty years of living in a highly controlled, dystopian society and is going to often fall back on what he knows.
