Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ A Conclave vote is being held in relation to Event #15, prior to the OOC Plotting Post. Please submit your vote by October 11th. New arrivals may participate!

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 13th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 15th. This month's event will require the Summoned to make an important choice to help save a vital ecosystem.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Do you like canons that now seem oddly prescient and will make you nauseous at how close reality came to a fictional dystopia? Welcome to the world of The Stand, a miniseries released in 2020 about a global pandemic that kills 99.4% of all human life. Stephen King wrote a book in the 70s and we're all still paying the price. Julie Lawry is a manipulative, social-climbing hayseed from Kansas who is among the .6% of humanity who is inexplicably immune from the superflu. As the sole survivor from her entire podunk town, she spent a month completely alone, then fell prey to a wizard/demon/sex god, went to Las Vegas because of dreams, and now her wardrobe is fabulous. Also she died, but we don't talk about that.

Julie practices wild magic, which she learned by living in Nott for half a year to get a start, then just kept stubbornly practicing via trial and error until she got good at it. Her abilities were sped up by spending excessive amounts of time with the Singularity because ↓

She has a distinctly strong connection to the Singularity and the Horizon -- by which I mean it turns out that she can FUCKING TALK TO IT. As far as she knows, she is the only one who can have an active conversation with it. This has led to her becoming somewhat obsessive and territorial over the Singularity; she spends a lot of time with it, speaking to it and absorbing its magic like nuclear waste. But she loves the Singularity a lot and is fiercely protective of it, both due to her connection and also the fact that she cannot leave Abraxas (since her world is dead), and she fears something bad happening to the world if the Singularity is harmed.

Most recently, she has further weakened the mental wall between herself and the Singularity by using her ability to help try and find clues during the kidnapping. It worked, but at the cost of the Singularity always being present in her mind, not unlike having a really clingy lapdog following her around the house. She can also now interact directly with it outside of the Horizon, interaction mostly being her telling her thoughts to it like a really dumb live tweeting session, and its subsequent reactions. Spoiler: It does not really care about most of her petty commentary on other Summoned. It seems to mostly just like her company.

In the Horizon, she has a nightclub that's open whenever she's there, populated by roughly 100 fake people who live on the dance floor. There is a lot of booze and drugs available, please see the bartender (Steven, a manifestation of the Horizon) or the hostess (Julie, an idiot) if you would like some.

She owns a house in Cadens with Nadine Cross, and also co-owns the cannabis brand Vegas Botanicals, which is primarily sold through Nadine's clinic storefront in Cadens.

CR YOU WANT: tbh I am wide open. Julie will be the cheery to your grumpy, she can work as both little sister or big sister types, she is happy to encourage all those terrible but mundane ideas of your character (eg, she will give you cocaine but probably not help you commit genocide. Unless you have a really convincing argument). Also she is an incorrigible slut, even if she has fallen into a mostly monogamous situation. She does have a New Year's resolution that she only has three more months to accomplish, which is of course to fuck more and different hot people.

If you want negative CR, she can be kind of a dick, especially to people she doesn't know well or regards as being "beneath" her in some way. But I'm not into CR that's negative for the sake of negativity.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN: Julie is really attached to the Singularity, I cannot overstate this. She is highly suspicious of anyone else she deems "too into" it (as she doesn't think they have a right to be), but if your character is chill and eases into the conversation, she likes to talk about it. She isn't open about what she can do or knows about it, since that could turn her into Abraxas's Most Wanted #1, but she has insights to be gained. If your character is on the level and can build up the trust enough, she might someday let them in on her secret -- but if they choose to dig around on their own instead and manage to work it out, she will be beyond pissed. If your character also has some sort of special connection to it, she is much, much faster to warm up.

She is currently secretly teaching herself to make portal stones, one of which she is going to use next month to go on an unsanctioned visit to the Singularity. She'll be gone for a while with that one, but will be back by December.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Astarion is a High Elf rogue. Totally not a vampire, guys! He's coming from the beginning of Act 3. CONTENT WARNINGS: for violence, murder, physical abuse, brain parasites and nonconsensual sexual situations. Opt-out is here!

TLDR Astarion was a city magistrate turned roughly 200 years before the start of the story by a really shitty vampire lord of Baldur's Gate named Cazador. In D&D lore, true vampires create spawn, who get the immortality + all the weaknesses of being a vampire, and also are compelled to obey their masters. Astarion's spent the last couple of centuries being tortured by Cazador and luring victims home for him, and he's real goddamn pissed about it. His current state of freedom from Cazador's control is thanks to a brief abduction by Mind Flayers who put a parasite in his brain, which is negating most of his vampiric banes right now (yay!) but also means he will eventually become a Mind Flayer (boo!)

Astarion can be flirty and mean and a little chaotic, he's only just started to understand that maaaaybe some people are trustworthy. But none of them are here so ??

CR YOU WANT:

☼ Enemies! Much easier, he pisses off a lot of people. He is especially wary of monster hunters for some weird reason. (alternatively, if you're not down for potentially negative CR let me know!)

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Because of his history Astarion tends to treat sex (and/or 'romance') as transactional, so while he flirts and acts like he's down to f, it's a little more complicated than his libertine attitude suggests. I'm definitely open to exploring both for him, but we should definitely discuss it first!

☼ Vampire stuff! He will be feeding off of rats while in Cadens, which isn't ideal (grats on the rat population around Mag's going down tho...?) If someone wants to offer their neck or wrist to him he might accept - unless you're weird about it (ACT 2 SPOILERS).

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Wrench is a former hitman and only surviving member of the Fargo crime syndicate. At present, he's about ten years post-encounter that left his former partner (and love of his life) dead, and his syndicate totally obliterated. He's also around five years out from coming into a two-million-dollar windfall, though for all intents and purposes, it doesn't appear that he ever did anything with the money he acquired. (Certainly he did not buy himself new clothes.). He's mostly been subsisting by living totally off the grid and trying not to get captured by the US Marshals and brought to justice for the many, many murders he's committed. In a nutshell, he's your resident Hitman With a Heart of Gold.

Important point of information: Wrench is Deaf and doesn't voice. I have a communication FAQ page if you want more information about any of that, and you can always feel free to ask for clarification or to brainstorm ways of interacting with him. I am forever welcoming of people who want to lean into the challenge, but am also highly cognizant about it not being more "trouble" than it's worth for people.

CR YOU WANT: Taking all comers. Wrench has started to settle down in Solvunn physically, but mentally he's still quite adrift. Literally everyone he's ever known or cared about is dead, and he's still not quite sure that this place isn't some kind of afterlife or elaborate fever dream he's been having. That said, he's truly fascinated by people and has a longing desire to get to know them, so no CR is bad CR.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Question does not compute.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:
→ Anyone willing to help teach him Abraxan magic, or practice it with him.

→ Anyone who wants to give the Midnight Cowboy wannabe a makeover.

→ Anyone who might need a bit of muscle to carry out their own plans. He is pretty good at hunting, foraging, and building shelters especially, but he's best at following directions. He'll do anything for you from guarding your body from danger while you're in Horizon (for the Solvunn) to watching your back for you in Nocwich to staffing your business (you boss babe you).

→ Wrench is a guy who suffered a lot of manipulation and grooming to make him into a person who once killed on command. I'd love to find some folks who might convince him to use those violent talents. Need blood? Need a body? Need something unsavory dealt with? Something you'd be reticent to ask others for, or even dirty their hands with involvement in? No worries; Wrench is your guy.

→ I'd like to develop some CR in the direction of Wrench becoming fiercely (and possibly violently) protective of some folks. He's basically his canon's avenging angel, and I want to see that side of him develop into a space where he might get up to some of his old tricks if the people he cares about are threatened. It's remarkably easy to make Wrench care about you, too. Pay him the slightest bit of attention and he's already in your corner, simple as that.

→ All that said, for the sake of my own sanity, I imagine that eventually some "legitimacy" in his everyday is going to win out, so I'd love to find ways that he can start to realize he's got more to offer than just murder. It's not that his self esteem is in the dirt; he's just literally never heard of her.

→ He's very confused by -- and largely disinterested in -- the politics of this place. (Most of the conversation has gone right past him, let's be real.) However, I'd be delighted for him to have some conversations about morality with some folks so he can start to see how possibly fucked up his is.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Julia is a witch in her mid-twenties from a typical real world where fantasy stuff is a secret genre. She was stuck in a time loop with her friends where 39 times she'd gone to the magic school Brakebills, and they'd all died, so the 40th timeline she was pushed outside of the group and left on her own. She became a Hedge Witch which is an untrained magic user and became very good at it. Eventually some very bad things happened (PLEASE LOOK AT HER OPT-OUTS HERE they are very serious) and she has gone through a lot of pain in the past few years. I will not be bringing up anything on there without warnings and making sure the other person is okay. She is not a trauma dumper.

A key part of her right now is that she is a goddess in her world. People with supernatural abilities/sensitivity to feeling it would probably know right away, she radiates it especially as she's a baby deity not in control of her powers. She didn't ask for it, so she's trying her best.

Julia's a type A personality, she takes charge when she needs to and she reacts badly to people trying to control her. She can be a bit of a hothead. She is very curious and likes to ask people questions about themselves, so watch out for that. She is really seeking a community and a coven of sorts, having felt alone most of this experience, but she doesn't know how.

CR YOU WANT: She's brand new please give me everything. Solvunnites to help her adjust to being a city girl in farmland. Other magic users. She's very curious about others.

Eddie is a doomed by the narrative, anxiety-ridden metalhead from 1980s Indiana—but like, a highly cursed town in Indiana that houses an alternate dimension with monsters and creepy shit. Long story short, he had one really bad week that started with him being wanted for a murder he didn’t commit (the satanic panic of it all) and ended with him getting munched on by some mutant monster-bats. Bats: 1, Eddie: 0

He repeated his senior year twice back home and in game time, he’s 21 years old. He doesn’t like conformity, but he does like D&D and rock music to an obsessive degree. He’s super dramatic and super nervous. He’s incredibly intense and might look like he’s gonna strangle you if you even try to insult his favorite bands, but he’s a kind-hearted dude who genuinely wants to help and do the right thing and has a serious soft spot for those who “don’t belong”.

CR YOU WANT:

-Fellow musicians or people who want to learn to be musicians. Let him teach you to play guitar, it’ll be great.

-He’s sort of dealing with shaking off some of his long-standing anxiety and just focusing on becoming a functioning human who is only anxious sometimes. He’s come a long way! CHARACTER INFORMATION: Short lizard girl is excited to see you! Himeka is a Warrior of Light, which is kind of the malleable protagonist from the FFXIV storyline. She a laid back person who goes with the flow even in some of the most dire situations, rather than plan likes to jump into things head first and see what happens, and generally is keen to be helpful to anyone around her. She sees big cosmic moving quests as important as catching the lost chickens for a local farmer. She can be easily distracted by this things but eagerly wants to explore the world. I like to say she's chaotic good, heavy on the chaotic side and tends to be very blunt despite how overtly friendly she can be. She is a powerful mage in her homeworld who is skilled in both white and black magicks. Fishing and dragon enthusiast. "I'm a healer, but" meme.

CR YOU WANT: Any and all! Himeka is the sort of person who will talk to literally anyone. And everyone tends to start with a +5 friendship bonus with her as well. She's very trusting. But as for specifics...

➤ She has a tendency to adopt/foster wayward teenagers and also promote/encourage both good and bad behaviors in both.
➤ Other magic users or non-humans! Sometimes those go hand-in-hand. But in a world surrounded by Hyurs (default Human from her verse), it is nice to mix it up.
➤ She tends to see monster hunters and adventurers as kindred spirits upon meeting.
➤ Partners in crime who will go along with her sometimes off-the-wall ideas and get into trouble. She has very little sense of self-preservation and a #YOLO attitude. It's fun!
➤ Himeka is used to talking to just about anyone from any walk of life, so if you need someone to randomly chat up your character or listen to their life story? She's your girl. Positive? Negative? I am HERE for it, lovelies. She is generally too empathetic to the plights of the little guy to be corruptible, but she also lends an ear to everyone and tends to give people the benefit of the doubt, for good or for ill.
➤ She is drawn towards people with high levels of motivation and ideals.
➤ She loves learning about other people's worlds/lives so anyone willing to share those experiences with her.
➤ Also fellow foodies is a big plus.
➤ I am open to shipping or casual hook-ups, fwb too. Himeka likes all shapes of people!

She is one of the original Summoned who escaped to Solvunn after jailbreak, so I am always happy for her to also be a resource to any newbies!

CR YOU DON'T WANT: I don't have anything in specific!

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

➤ Her ongoing project has been to learn more/get closer to the old gods of Solvunn. She has made contact with at least 2 to varying degrees and will continue to push that forward. Likewise she is practicing High Magicks so anyone who is interested in those things, I would love to rope them into ongoing and future plots!
➤ Related to the above, she got a request from one of the old gods to help tend to the land after a recent event. Along those veins it could help with other people who want to start stretching their High Magick prowess!
➤ She has an ability that let's her see into other people's pasts, so if you have a character with a backstory they're not likely to divulge she's a great mechanism for getting some things out in the open! I love using this to help foster CR.
➤ Himeka is teaching conjury magics to those interested! You do not need a background in magical casting to take part, she's happy to help tutor anyone willing.
➤ Her Domain is portable and mutable. But if you want to meet baby dragons and play under the sea, you're welcome to visit at anytime.
➤ Solvunn has become her home so she's big on creating a sense of community for Summoned in the Commune. As such she, Wanda, Nero and now ROCKET are the official/unofficial Welcoming Committee. We will have a Solvunn meet & greet/mingle up this weekend for old and new characters!
➤ Especially important for new characters, as many of the original Summoned have left, she finds it important to share the early-game history of the Summoned. So if you want some early game lore from her POV, she does think it's important for people to know what they're walking into.
➤ Anything sea or fish related. She's on board. She's READY.
➤ Himeka can become a tree. Yes. And though it's just been thematic with her nature alignment it's also funny to spook people. So if anyone wants to incidentally run into her tree self, I'd love it.
➤ She can be gullible and too trusting, so anyone willing to take advantage of that is great too. She's gotten more discerning since her canon update but it's still A Thing.

Claude is a former ruling (and semi-sovereign) duke and military commander who comes from the end of the Verdant Wind route of FE3H where the nation he led won the war. Due to time and route differences, he may say something different about Fodlan and what happened there compared to info from his other castmates. While he's very outwardly friendly or overly casual or irreverent, he keeps most everyone at arm's length and uses that occasionally insincere friendliness as a shield since trust is a major stumbling block for him. He's sharp, observant, and not afraid of taking on any challenges or doing what he believes to be the right thing. On the flip side, he can be manipulative, evasive, stubborn, and generally annoying or difficult to deal with when he feels like it. Claude can be won over with puzzles, a board game, or a good meal, and though he keeps his own interests in mind, he's loyal to and protective over those important to him.

● Would you like to trade canon magic? Wind magic is more Claude's specialty but he also knows a couple healing magic spells. He's learned some smaller spells but would love to work with someone who knows what they're doing with a particular interest in conjuring things and transformation.

● Potentially getting involved in politics. He tried to avoid that for a while in favor of observing closely and recent events have solidified a need for this to happen in his mind. However, he's started to think it would be best if the Free Cities had some changes and would like to (quietly) look into that. In addition, I'd like to start making some plans for this with the upcoming event with whatever opportunities are there!
● Adjacent to that - research on the Singularity and factions! Through chatting with CR he's finally started looking into the Free Cities' side to find out some of the thoughts on the Singularity and how they differ from Thorne. His own feelings on the Singularity are mostly neutral but asking's (and other conversations) made him curious about how it affects them being here and what a change, destruction of it, whatever else means for the Summoned.
● Claude is also looking to get involved with supporting charities or some type of charitable work. He's been volunteering with orphanages, assisted in infirmaries immediately after the attack on Libertas, and would like to continue with causes meant to help Free Cities citizens. He's got a vague idea of linking his botany interests to some kind of farming if anyone would be interested in potentially teaming up as a likely very long-term plan since it's in initial theoretical stages. Thanks to Viktor, he'll have a small hydroponic setup to experiment with soon!
● Are you also staying in Abraxas? It's recently occurring to Claude more and more that being here is some kind of permanent now that he's been here a long time. Haelva is actually something called a Bhaalspawn; the child of the god of murder. She knows none of this at her canon point, but her status as the former Chosen of Bhaal has very clearly left its mark on her psyche. She is just so fucking good at murder.

rocket is a genetically modified raccoon (but calling him as much is something you do at your own risk!) with a whole lot of enhancements and a bad attitude. without getting too deeply into spoiler territory for volume 3 for how he became who he is now, it's really not hard to notice that rocket has a chip on his shoulder, is extremely reluctant to share any personal details about himself, and would rather spend his time futzing around with gadgets than getting into circles and singing kumbaya. that said, his traumatic past does lend itself to a great capacity for understanding other fellow traumatized characters and low-key bonding with them as a result. his time spent working to save the rest of his family during the blip has also made him a lot more open to being up front about his attachments, and allowing some of his compassionate side to seep through. but, like, just a bit. 🤏

outside of his personal relationships, rocket is also a genius engineer and mechanic. he can macguyver just about anything together to form weapons, explosives, mechanical limbs, etc. (of course i'll be careful to play within the rules of the game with this.) he is also a member of the guardians of the galaxy! he actually does do some heroic stuff (though, admittedly, usually for a monetary cost), and despite his general reluctance to admit it, he does care about the planets, and the stars, and the animals that live on the planets. (and, maybe, the people too.) he is also one heck of a loyal raccoon. once you get on his good side, you can pretty much expect to have a real kickass fighter and genius engineer on your side. anything else you want to know, feel free to ask!

To find the lines between what parts of her are Kennish, and what parts are Vasquez or Sorrento. Eventually carving out her own path, and making herself comfortable in the world around her.

Essentially she's a headstrong, passionate, capable student, able to learn whatever she sets her mind to if she really wants it. Loyal to her family to the point of near stupidity (she's got a felony thanks to her sister, who did not get mentioned enough here more on that at the bottom of this). She is going to make messes and get in trouble but she means well I swear.

Gifs are a bit hard to come by for this fandom, so have a less abridged history of why Bay's canonpoint is messed up.
You can guess from the name of the show, two girls were switched at birth when they were born. John and Kathryn, former baseball player and housewife, brought home Bay Kennish. While Regina Vasquez and Angelo Sorento brought home Daphne Vasquez. Fifteen years later an oddity in Bay's bloodwork proved she wasn't the Kennishes' biological daughter. Angelo already out of the picture because he and Regina found out about the switch when Daphne was three and lost her hearing. It's a whole thing, let's move on.

Daphne, Regina, and the Kennishes became a weird complicated blended family. Bay and Daphne had a rough road. But after a lot of events, the two grow into the space of 'sisters.' Which gets more complicated by the very odd episode Bay arrived from.

Yuletide Fortune Tellers is a Christmas episode, the blended family trying to get through Christmas together. Regina having no interest in a big to-do, Kathryn making a dozen different kinds of Christmas cookies. Bay and Daphne casually muse about how it might be easier if the switch never happened. Which- the got as a whole plot steal of It's a Wonderful Life.

Bay woke up as "Daphne Sorrento" a Deaf art student to a functional alcoholic mother on the wrong side of town. Daphne woke up as Bay Kennish, olympic soccer hopeful with a stay at home dad as her coach, and her mom too busy running a skin care company. CHARACTER INFORMATION: hello hi let’s talk about captain america. and about how this dude (who genuinely cares way too much and somehow managed to keep ahold of some pretty naive beliefs and hopes for the future) who has spent his whole life trying to CHANGE THE WORLD, and found his way to do that by giving shit to the one guy who most people were too intimidated to give shit to (aka cap #1). anyway. that cap has 'retired' (it's complicated) and after some soul-searching and a couple of missions over the span of an mcu tv show, sam took up the shield and is now driven by what being cap means to him in the current day. and, of course, how he can help as many people as possible. he is an eternal optimist, believes in the good in people, and WILL give you a Captain America Speech (and won’t regret it). he’s doing his best and will continue to do so, that much you can always depend on.

sam is on a mission to adopt/connect with/be friends with as much of the entire game as he can - this is driven pretty intensely by the fact he believes that the best and only way for the summoned to stay safe is to stick together/protect each other, so being separated by factions is NOT going to be a problem for him. he already feels somewhat responsible for everyone anyway (whether you want him to or not, he's been here since the beginning so this is just gonna be a thing that happens) so he's happy to help provide a safe place to go (quite literally if you're in cadens), someone to talk to, or a dad (slash cool uncle) if you just want a hug.

in general, he is looking for allies, friends, or found family (habits are hard to break), and is happy to make connections with ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

- UNOFFICIAL CADENS WELCOME COMMITTEE: if you're in the cities, chances are sam is going to come find you. he has a routine that when new people start showing up, he tends to be out at the barracks pretty much as soon as he can. he is a name you will also most likely be told/pointed in the direction of if you're new as well, since he's a p high ranking influence AND he's made a name for himself as the sort of 'if they're lost, point them to me' kinda guy. he is willing to answer anything and everything about this place as he's been here since the beginning, as long as you're not throwing up any weird red flags. C: this includes history of the summoned, the political status of the world at large, etc.

the welcome committee is basically just...sam and hilda and jesper and diana, who go out of their way to make sure new summoned don't fall through the cracks. which happens to also involve a welcome party every now and then, too! in the log comm will be this cycle's party (posted by hilda and ota for free cities), so if you're looking for a place to jump in, that's a great start.

NEW CADENS PEOPLE part of the welcome committee's job is to make sure y'all have a place to stay. mag's inn is open for anyone/everyone who has been summoned and needs a place, but you gotta work for her around the place to pay it off. this is something that would be told to you either by another summoned or some locals around the neighborhood, as they know the deal by now.

ALSO IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE COMMITTEE you should also talk to him. he and hilda and jesper and diana have a real fun time.

- POLITICAL SPHERE: so right now sam is (unintentionally) kinda a big deal. he's level seven, which means it's entirely possible you'll hear his name mentioned out and about the general populace of cadens (and beyond). he has met with marlo on a couple of occassions, and tends to be present for any and all political meetings, and is someone that the locals know pretty well. all this to say, TOO, if you're interested in getting your character involved in the politics of the cities, SAM IS HERE TO HELP AND WE CAN FIND A WAY TO GET YOUR CHARACTER involved. whether or not he wants to be wrapped up in it, he's going to. c: just let me know!

- THE SUMMONED AT LARGE: right now sam's kinda also in the process of building up some close connections between thorne, free cities, and solvunn among the summoned themselves. he's in the space of "we all need to stick together and stay out of the rising tensions - war is never good for anyone, ESPECIALLY for outsiders". so that can involve running into each other in the horizon, reaching out to people he might not already know, etc.

- FAMILY DINNERS AT MAG'S: if your character is in the free cities, whether or not they've settled at the inn, Sam has fairly frequent family dinners where he takes over the main dining hall portion of Mag's and just makes a huge ass meal for whoever wants to come by. These are usually every two-three weeks, so if your character has been around enough/heard about it, the invite is always open. I don't always put up logs for these, just because I don't want to clutter things up, but if you want your character to run into sam there and/or other people, it's a setting that is open! these tend to be a lot more chill than the Welcome Committee Parties.

- he is prepared to be anyone and everyone's uncle/dad figure/parental figure if you need one or even if you don't. he is HERE to build a found family, come join in the party he cooks great dinners. did you have a bad family history? he will be your new dad. just want some kinda support? hello he's here.

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Geralt is gruff and rough around the edges, and soft on the inside. Surprisingly easy to get along with if you can overlook his brusque nature. Harder to get to know him well past the surface. He was abandoned by his mother, nearly died in some gnarly mutation experiments, and was subsequently raised in a pretty harsh environment and taught to endure from an early age. Stuffed full of hidden trauma. He's good at killing monsters, handy with a blade, and prefers his solitude but likes company that he's comfortable with. Can be solicited with free drinks or food. Extremely protective of the people he loves and will not hesitate to murder. Heavy association with wolves. Also has a daughter he would do anything for.

Recently, he's gone through a canon update and has elderly pains a few healed but still bothersome injuries he's dealing with. He will probably be searching for potions, but in the meantime, if you see him soaking in various baths even more, it's not just for the aesthetic. But maybe a little. Also, he's finally moved into a proper house (with Jaskier and Ciri, naturally) and after 2 years has a bed and room of his own. More info.

Geralt is not a main who changes his mind on these things - his core beliefs have stuck with him for decades and he rarely cares to defend or explain himself. 100% fine with people who'll be wary of him or don't like his habit of slicing people open as an answer to certain problems, or who just don't get along with him because he's as stubborn as an ox.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Anything that develops naturally is A-OK with me. Purely negative CR for the sake of it might not go very far since Geralt rarely engages there, but that's just an FYI. On an OOC level, I'm open to anything. Because of the type of personality Geralt is, I'm happy to talk out slowburn plots or extended scenarios or anything of that nature.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

— ◈ Hunting/exploring. Geralt rides out for 2-3 weeks at a time into the desert to kill things. He's not one to take partners but it can happen if they're both coincidentally out there or if you want to just disrupt his day, go for it. He can also be found just wandering the desert since he doesn't really like being in the big city constantly and prefers to go rock climbing and watch the sunset in silence.

— ◈ Horizon fun times. His Horizon is a big old decrepit fortress/castle, with skeletons and bones buried under the snow. Underneath that is a more pleasant temple. Geralt might not say a lot, but his domain speaks a good bit for him and about his history, so if you want an easy in to get to know him, swing by.

— ◈ Politics! Previously, Geralt preferred not to get involved in the bigger picture and truthfully, he still doesn't, but he is now no longer so cautious about doing so. Firmly in his fuck around and find out era for the sake of protecting his daughter, Geralt is about 100% more willing to interfere in places where he once might've taken more time to think about it or waited until his hand is forced. He's committed to keeping Ciri safe, along with his family, and believes the Singularity is what's keeping her out of the Wild Hunt's sights. As a result, he's very against destroying it and is extremely wary of anyone who poses a risk to this world he's made his home in.

— ◈ Horse girls and/or swords. Geralt is a horse girl through and through. He loves his horse, he talks to his horse, his horse is his best friend Jaskier shouting in the distance. If you, too, love horses or just want someone to show you how to ride/tack up he's willing. He's less open to training people out the door, but he can be convinced, or if you just want to spar!!

— ◈ Extremely grey morals! Geralt is a monster hunter who's also kind of perceived as a monster himself in a war-torn world where usually the humans are the worst monsters. He has his own philosophy on how to navigate all the chaos, and sometimes what he believes, what he says, what he wants, and what he does can all be contradictory. I'd love for things of this nature to come up.

— ◈ Bonding, especially some brotherly bonds. Geralt's chosen to stay in Abraxas, so he values people important to him a lot. If he sees common ground in someone (i.e. similar traumas), he'll take an interest. Without his Witcher brothers here, he's started to collect other hunter-types in Abraxas into a little family of sorts. The only qualifications are being a dumbass and killing things.

Oh and he comes from an AU Earth where World War II was just World War I all over again, and his chain of islands was invaded, occupied, did terrible things under occupation, and now the whole community is cut off from the world and everyone is forced by law to take memory altering happy pills and behave in very specific ways.

Arthur chose to stop taking his happy pills, started realizing how very messed up his society is - I can't even begin to get into it in a basic blurb - and was kicked out and left to die for refusing to conform. He spent a hellish month trying to escape and open up people's eyes to the true state of their community, but no one would listen to him. And now he's here!

His world is very strange and he's very screwed up from it, but he also knows all of this. He wants to be a normal person, and experience actual emotions that don't come from a pill, and learn how to actually connect with and have relationships with other people. And he will not be shy about talking about how screwed up and cultish a place he comes from - though some things he will keep to himself. We don't talk about The Very Bad Thing.

CR YOU WANT: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! Arthur is brand new, does not know how to interact with people on a normal level, and is desperate to find a place in this new community. Hilda is one of Fodlan's It Girls, a self-proclaimed delicate flower, spoiled, and allergic to work. There is a 100% chance that she will probably find a way to pawn it off on someone else unless coerced or bribed into it.

In all seriousness, Hilda is the youngest daughter of the Goneril house and more or less believes that she'll only disappoint others if she tries to do anything but play the part of a nobleman's daughter. She might act like an air head, but she's more perceptive than she makes herself out to be and is fiercely loyal to those she cares about.

She's a DIY queen, adores makeup, beauty products, self-care and loves making her own jewelry and accessories. She's deadly with an axe in her hands, a Big Flirt, super friendly, a fantastic shopping buddy/hypewoman but will also keep you humble in the exact same breath. I'm playing her from mid-Verdant Wind just before she murders former classmates on a battle field.

CR YOU WANT:

Any and all! If your character runs into Sylvain or Claude, feel free to assume that that's an easy in with Hilda. They used to live above the Sarstina but have since moved into their own loft in Cadens.

She still picks up shifts at the Sarstina bar to make some cash, but it's largely social time. She's friendly and easy to get along with, but here's a couple of bullet points:

- Deepening current CR because I love and adore all of the directions they're going.
- Establishing new CR because she's a little sister but she'd be overjoyed to be a big sister, or for someone to sweep her under their wing as an honorary sibling. Chaotic, silly fun CR is loved and adored.
- Also open to little silly rivalries/bickering CR because those dynamics give me life. Have you been waiting for a petty woman to enter the chat? Hilda can fill that role.

- Regarding the TDM, I'm more than happy to handwave or keep the CR established there!

- (UN)OFFICIAL WELCOMING COMMITTEE | Come and join the Unofficial Cadens Welcome Committee! It's run by Sam but also includes Jesper and Diana. Hilda is just along for the ride, making cute posters and exasperating their fearless leader. You'll probably catch her as a part of the city tours and being a friendly face that'll chat your ear off unless you tell her to stop.

- THE ARTS | Do you like fashion? The aesthetics? The ARTS? Hilda is a part of the team managing the Old Public Hall. For someone who hates working she's sure doing a lot of it. Designing and making her own jewelry has gone full steam ahead. Hilda has taken up an unofficial apprenticeship with a local NPC, Cyprian, who is a metalworker and blacksmith. She'll be flitting in and around Aquila pitching various designs to the fashion houses there but if you want something made for you hit her up. She's happy to take commissions for the low price of favours she can cash in in the future. Or money if the other one sounds too ominous to you. ...Or hell, nothing at all really if you're a friend. Let her shower you with pretty things!

- ARTIFICER IN TRAINING | Building on the above, Hilda is also going to venture into learning how to enchant objects, specifically the things she makes! I've got a couple of ideas re: cool functional jewelry, but she'll be working together with Viktor to make this pipe dream of hers come to fruition. I'd love to send her down an artificer (but of accessories) track at some point and this will be the baby steps towards that. She can currently make accessories that can cast/shed light and bracers that will cast a shield that can free up people's hands. This isn't to say that she won't make weapons of the pointy variety, but she'd have to be really convinced. She recently made a light up sword for Cal. By accident. Come at her with your ideas!

- TRAINING + MAGICS | She has, regrettably, started training again due to a series of unfortunate events (boo Stevemerica and Sam by association). She'd still like to brush up on her magic which will include some healing/aid skills while trying to keep up with her training out of sight of those closest to her. She'll need some sparring buddies or might approach folks she thinks can help with that but keep it hush. Note: she will still absolutely whine and complain the entire time.

-ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION | After almost dying and being partially responsible for burning up the Red Path, Hilda, Claude and Sylvain will probably be making moves to restore the environment there! We're looking at timing for November probably, but if you'd like to throw your character into some tree planting business, hit us up! If it's not something your character would normally do, Hilda is a great enabler/arm twister.

- A DELICATE FLOWER(?) - The last event has gifted her the ability to make it look like she's got the head of a Demogorgon when she's extremely angry/startled/surprised. She's got an inkling that something is weird but I'd love to play with this more and find a way to help her reject it/make it worse or master it some day!

i'm in it to win it, even for slow burn, and my original plan was to eventually learn more about the lost city of Tornis (he's already parted the sea once so we could walk down into a sunken palace, let him do it AGAIN its Free Real Estate), but lets see what happens first. :)!!

but seriously, she is a mutant in the x-men universe so the world hates her but she passes for human so it hates her to her face without knowing it hates her, she spent a whole season freeing her sisters from prison only to lose them again coming here and being entirely cut of from them so she's not doing to hot. one person does not a hive mind make!

CHARACTER INFORMATION: Jaskier is a medieval blue-blooded bard who went from zero to Hero by making his career off singing about the monster hunting adventures of one Geralt of Rivia. He is now a bird kind of guy who studies plant- and animal-based magic because he once lived with a bunch of druids and was a big fan of them. He holds great esteem for artists of any sorts, and is one half of the duo who head the Arts Restoration Committee, who work to restore and preserve the art of the Free Cities. Their recent project completed at the end of May was a five-day festival celebrating the art, artist, sciences, and theatre of the Cities, which was very successful. In January, they also completed construction of the Willow Memorial Park in Libertas, a memorial created to remember those who were lost in the destruction of Libertas by the Queen of Thorne. Alucard and Jaskier maintain an office for their Arts Restoration projects, but most they just bicker about how to decorate it.

He is extremely well-known in the Free Cities and has been given a title by the people: "Gem of the Phoenix." It is highly likely he will let every single person he meets know this, and is now usually decorated in some sort of phoenix merch.

Jaskier is also a flirt and a scholar. He is in a committed relationship with Nadine but is always open to flirting and bedding anyone who catches his eye (read: everyone.) Their relationship is open, and tales of Jaskier's sexual prowess (and vigor) can likely be heard from any of the brothels in the cities, as well as locals who may follow his performances through the taverns of Cadens, Libertas, and Aquila.

CR YOU WANT: Any! Jaskier is deeply involved in the politics of the Free Cities and tries to play them in his own way by pushing back against the emphasis on military strength by instead focusing on art, specifically anti-war sentiments. He is not against using his position and influence (and money) to aid those who share sentiments, or to fund science/engineering/whathaveyou to better the lives of those least fortunate.

CR YOU DON'T WANT: Not anything I can think of, besides negative CR for the sake of being negative. I'm not against anything that happens naturally, though! Jaskier can be prickly about certain things and easily offended if his personal tastes are insulted.

PLOTS/THREADS/THEMES YOU'RE INTERESTED IN:

- Helping and introing newbies. Jaskier is well-known in the Free Cities between his musical performances, concerts, work on the Cadens Old Public Hall, the art walk in Libertas, the Old Public Hall festival in May, and Willow Memorial Park, and he can be used for networking purposes. He also has some small, lingering influence in Thorne (where he performed music during festivals) and Solvunn (in which he wrote a love letter ballad to one of their hot goat gods.)

- He runs a successful plant shop in Cadens, which is an easy place to catch him at! He is happy to supply people with their own plants to start beautifying this ugly desert.

- Jaskier has also begun trying to "invest" in new Summoned by offering to help pay for their lodgings and food as they settle into life in Abraxas. He does not expect anything back from this, he's simply TOO successful.

- Musical friends! He currently only plays music with NPCs, but would love some Summoned to perform with. Jaskier is also currently tutoring Mat from Thorne on being a bard, and is always willing to take on more pupils with sincere interest in the arts. He has recently gotten a REAL ACTUAL RECORDING of himself from Viktor and is working on purchasing/setting up public gramophones to play the recordings.

- More friends! Jaskier is pretty easy to get along with and is a social butterfly. He can drag you out to social functions and will be rather insistent on it.

- Political intrigue! Jaskier has gotten a good hold of transforming into a sandpiper (yes, the literal bird) and will begin using it to eavesdrop around Cadens. Other than that, he stays on top of most political happenings and is slowly leaning towards his hot girl summer Spy Arc.

- New romantic interests. To put it in Shakespearean terms: "That man's a slut." It is canon he would also fuck himself. (Thanks, shapeshifters.)

- Due to recent things in the previous cult plot that Jaskier learned, he's suspecting that the "old gods" are actually old Summoned. Jaskier has some thoughts of grandeur, and so begins his new hot girl summer God arc, where Jaskier is going to start thinking about directly communicating with the gods (specifically for now, Vimorskas and Lyfbringr.)

- Jaskier recently adopted a lost chocobo that followed him home and has made it his beloved mount. He also has a pet (mini)gryphon, and is generally obsessed with all creatures because they're cute, even when they're not. Especially dragons.

wanda is a character that has been shaped by tragedy and loss, thus why she's a tough nut to crack at times. she wields powerful magic—chaos magic—and tries hard to be one of the good guys despite her doing more harm than good with it. at this point, wanda is from post-multiverse of madness. she has claimed her title as the scarlet witch, a being of unfathomable magical power, but given she's from the end of the movie she has seen how she's done wrong, and is currently going to be working on living with all that chaos, loss, and corruption from the darkhold. this basically means that she will have her moments of feeling very sad, guilty, and angry. NGL with the power of love and friendship she's getting there. she will, however, still make stupidly rash decisions with her magic.

additionally, given her mind powers, she can connect (even more so now) with the 'louder' thoughts of others. i tend to play it by ear in threads wherein she picks up on things here and there, but never grabbing onto anything secret/important unless discussed previously; however, here is an opt-out post for that and other mind-related magical skills.

at this point in time, wanda's found something of a home and family within solvunn. she has also created a pact with one of the old gods, soris immaneus, and is looking to understand their place as summoned and the old gods more thoroughly.

CR YOU WANT:

one of the big themes for wanda is found family, but other than that i really like the idea of some conflicting cr because of different opinion and/or personality. magic-inclined/supernatural friends would be fantastic, as well as the brother types, and any non-magical folk she could help out with magical endeavors. i'm always open to any cr!
