OOC INTRO & CR MEME #15

OOC Intro and CR Meme
Welcome to our OOC intro and CR meme. We encourage you all to get out there, plot, and introduce yourself!

There is no formal introduction log for characters joining the game. Players are free to introduce their characters however they like.

◎ Nocwich is OPEN every first weekend of each month. Characters can get some cross-faction CR here! Beyond those 3 days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and outside of game events, characters from opposing nations will only be able to see each other in the Horizon.

◎ A Conclave vote is being held in relation to Event #15, prior to the OOC Plotting Post. Please submit your vote by October 11th. New arrivals may participate!

◎ The OOC Plotting is scheduled for the 13th of this month, while the IC Event Log is scheduled for the 15th. This month's event will require the Summoned to make an important choice to help save a vital ecosystem.

Characters with orphaned/fucked up childhood backstories, esp those exposed to/committed violence at an early age.

This could be interesting to explore? Crane's been pretty messed up since childhood and it's something that's psychologically driven both characters. He also has his own morality - ie possibly none/pragmatic - and I'd like to see how that matches Geralt's?

Absolutely!! How they get along will depend on how straightforward Crane is bc Geralt heavily dislikes bullshit and can smell it from a mile away. I'd be curious what Crane thinks of him since Geralt doesn't say a lot, but I feel given Crane's background, Crane might be able to get a good read on him past the surface.

His morals lean pragmatic and highly sympathetic to people who are cast aside by society (without good reason, obviously), and he has a pretty strong protective streak that leads him to a good amount of Murder if he deems it necessary to protect his family/innocents. So it'll be interesting for sure.

Yeah! They're both pragmatists whose views have been informed by their background. Crane's sympathies are less with outsiders - he's been an outcast himself and thinks you need to push on - and more with those bullied for being different. He might try his "I'm an awkward nerd" bullshit at first but it's basically his defense mechanism.

It might be interesting if Geralt picks up on it. I feel Crane would drop it since he might understand why Geralt hates bullshitting. But he wouldn't be apologetic about it: you're safe if you blend in, right?

He's capable of acting more like himself - Ra's would've picked up on things as well - so it'll be interesting, yes, to see how they get along!

We can definitely give something during the event a shot! Dragons sounds like a fun backdrop for them to meet under.

I will yeah! I might end up doing an open prompt, but I'll put aside a starter for crane one way or another. We can see what the plotting post gives us and go from there?

Yep! I'll wait and tag into your plotting post, then.
