I'd love to explore this more, yes!!! sam's definitely not going to fault someone for thinking differently about what's best for their safety here, and they can probably have a really good conversation about it too. c:

and oh yes, sam would definitely help get crane on a sort of fast track into politics. because it would be SO TERRIBLE for him to get really integrated in everything. even if it's the like, step down. influence can go a long way c: and until given reason to believe otherwise, sam is going to be VERY HAPPY to help him get wherever he needs to go.
