Wrathion does not trust this place.

He doesn't trust, for one, a place that summons and binds him only to call him an honoured guest. He doesn't trust that he is truly here to help because tales of his great exploits have spread far and wide.

If they truly knew who he was, he does not think honoured guest is what they would call him. It would be something far less pleasant.

A phantom pain flares up in his face just at the thought of it.

As soon as he is given the freedom Wrathion takes to exploring. His bright red eyes stand out, but with his gifts dampened there's little he can do about that. He acts as if any second glances go unnoticed, although he's clearly aware of it. There's a subtle tension to his movements, something only obvious to someone looking. As if he's playing at casual, but on high alert regardless.

Once he tires of playing along, he moves on to a little more unconventional investigation.

It takes more effort when he's so frustratingly limited, but Wrathion is still quick on his feet and careful. He's not a master of this like Inej, but then again he's never needed to rely on pure talent.

Being a dragon has many advantages.

The building he's chosen was, by his judgement, one that combined the best of 'easy to climb' and 'good vantage point'. He has no desire to fall off like a fool when he cannot fly, but he did want to get a better look around. He's quiet as he finds a safe spot, mostly focusing on carefully footing and his surroundings, but some prickle at his senses makes him turn around sharply.

"Ah," he says finally, "I won't be a moment."

Then, digging in his pockets he pulls out some paper and begins to make quick notes.
