Mod Communications
If you have any questions about the limits or scope of what you can do before you formalize it in an investigation, you can go over the details with us here. You can also submit the suspect to Celeste under the appropriate heading. Submitting the name of the suspect is not required to complete the mystery, but doing so may contribute to whether the suspect is caught or escapes.
If you have questions about non-investigative aspects of the event, see the Questions thread on the OOC Plotting Post.

Investigations
To leave opportunities for others, please limit the scope of your actions per submission. For example, if you'd like to test a key, you must specify a narrow set of locks in a particular section. Additionally, while there are no strict limits on how many investigations you can be involved in, we do ask that you try to stagger them a little to help us keep pace.
You can investigate something multiple times as long as it makes sense for your character to try again. This includes following up with witnesses if characters learn new information. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about a piece of evidence, you might want to do an IC exchange. IC exchanges can take place in the real world or the Horizon.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.

Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

Character Name: Istredd
Other characters involved: Cassian
Witness/Scene/Evidence: They are questioning Soraya Moran
Action: After this interaction, Istredd and Cassian will be changing their approach to asking the Sentinel herself. They will introduce themselves. Istredd will say he's an archaeologist and historian from his world and has studied the past of Abraxas extensively since arriving. Cassian will say he's his assistant and also interested in learning more about the history of this place.
Istredd will ask her how dangerous this artifact and if it is connected to anything special in Ikorr's history. Specifically details she as an expert may know. He wants to know if it's always been in Ikorr's possession and if it has any magic of its own.
Cassian will ask if anyone has been asking about this artifact who is not from Ikorr or may have close leanings with anyone outside of Ikorr.
Thread: Thread- in progress
Notes: not for now!

Ikorr believes it's imbued with a power of its own, though it's unclear where or to whom this power belongs. It's extremely dangerous in the hands the wrong person, capable of causing unknown chaos - or even altering reality. This is, of course, merely recorded in ancient texts and archeological studies, so the accuracy is unknown. Its usage is not something they can feasibly test, after all.
The Nether, another safe-guarder of artifacts, has been inquiring after this artifact for many years, and has attempted to make Ikorr promise to hand it over should it ever be uncovered. Ikorr believes they don't have nefarious intentions, but rather the Nether feels its vaults are more secure due to the lack of outsider entry. While this hasn't caused any open conflict and Ikorr considers the Nether a friend, it's been a source of several diplomatic debates.

Istredd's questions: How did the Nether find out about it? Is there any way that it's not as secret as they think and other territories have found out about it? Is there anyone who is aware of the artifact who has ties to Luna and might be around right now? Can she think of motivations for why someone would want to steal it, and if they'd want to give it to another territory?
Cassian's questions: Did it originate in the Nether? Why didn't you give it to the Nether? Wouldn't that be safer? Why not pool resources if it's that potentially dangerous?

If Istredd means whether the Nether knows it currently is in Ikorr's hands and is not lost like Ikorr claims, then the Nether actually does not know about this. They're only inquiring after its potential resurfacing and requesting that Ikorr promise to give it over if they ever find it - a promise Ikorr has not agreed to. However, Soraya will admit it's impossible to know what the Nether truly believes or not since they're as secretive as the Ikorrans. Diplomatically, they have not made it official that they're aware the artifact has been found.
Soraya will acknowledge that it's possible some visiting Draconae have ties to the Luna, but she does not believe the Draconae are interested overall in stirring conflict due to their current troubles with their dragons.
Ikorr firmly believes it is in better hands with them, and further mistrust the Nether due to how many of them have close ties to Luna. Luna is Ikorr's main concern when it comes to discovering the artifact's existence due to their proximity and their bloody history. They are not particularly worried about the major territories, who Ikorr posit are doing far more dangerous things with the Singularity and have no leg to stand on to make demands. The territories almost never interfere with matters in Nocwich on top of that.
Ikorr does not have a relationship with the Nether where they would pool resources. The Nether has as many secrets in its Citadel as Ikorr does in its vaults.
