EVENT #17: EPULUM - COORDINATION POST
Event #17 - Coordination
This post is for coordination while the event is ongoing, to prevent the IC Event Log from being overrun by OOC mod and player communications. The comments section will contain applicable comments and forms for you to reply to as needed.
Use this post to:
Use this post to:

Available Forms
For details on each form, see the sections below.
Be sure to reply under the applicable category as required.

Mod Communications
If you have any questions about the limits or scope of what you can do before you formalize it in an investigation, you can go over the details with us here. You can also submit the suspect to Celeste under the appropriate heading. Submitting the name of the suspect is not required to complete the mystery, but doing so may contribute to whether the suspect is caught or escapes.
If you have questions about non-investigative aspects of the event, see the Questions thread on the OOC Plotting Post.

Investigations
To leave opportunities for others, please limit the scope of your actions per submission. For example, if you'd like to test a key, you must specify a narrow set of locks in a particular section. Additionally, while there are no strict limits on how many investigations you can be involved in, we do ask that you try to stagger them a little to help us keep pace.
You can investigate something multiple times as long as it makes sense for your character to try again. This includes following up with witnesses if characters learn new information. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about a piece of evidence, you might want to do an IC exchange. IC exchanges can take place in the real world or the Horizon.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

When the maggots have finished burning, the ground around him will vibrate and the ashes will begin to move. They form what appears to be yet another rune, but if Lucifer reorients himself correctly he will realize it is a smiley face turned on its side. Intriguingly, it's denoted in the manner that one might if one were familiar with digital communication: =]

this is fineLucifer, mostly ignoring Jaskier's newly arrived presence, will draw a finger through the ash besides the face with two more of his own, in an effort to 'represent' the two of them:

Then it will draw one more: the jester's hat of the Fool. Whatever force this is, it appears to be making its introduction using the Arcana...and seems to have an Arcanum of its own.

He'll take a minute to figure out where to go, smoothing the ash out to make a surface of black like a canvas and drawing within close-together symbols of an awkward thumbs-up, a very rudimentary clock face, a crescent moon, and finally a ? in an attempt to ask if they're having a good time tonight.

Afterwards, it forms the shape of a stick man running and will "run away" across the ground. The ashes scatter into the wind.

A mumbled, "Well then."
A venomously snide, "Typical."
And, the shot-in-the-dark, "What, just going to chat and dash? We were building a rapport! You know a reality-altering artifact may be useful for someone that's been accustomed to being trapped in a labyrinth!"
Lucifer is testing a lot of theories meshed together at once while he can. His own that the visions/domain that they saw/trapped in belonged to dead/returned Summoned (and the etched arcana was theirs) and Istredd's theory shared with others that the gods are ascended Summoned from long ago. Lucifer was personally trapped in the Horizon Labyrinth and took note of the engraved Fool's arcana, though it took him time after to recognize the symbol.
His wild last-ditch effort to reestablish communication is to send out an open All-Summoned Horizon network message (as he doesn't have enough to try and target them with a direct message), in the hopes that maybe they share that Singularity connection, with the words: If you're going to play a game, have the nerve to leave your signature!

There will be no further responses after this.

Jaskier will attempt to draw a little eggplant emoji (thanks, Julie) before the presence leaves. He thinks it's rude if he only stares and doesn't contribute.
