Mod Communications
If you have any questions about the limits or scope of what you can do before you formalize it in an investigation, you can go over the details with us here. You can also submit the suspect to Celeste under the appropriate heading. Submitting the name of the suspect is not required to complete the mystery, but doing so may contribute to whether the suspect is caught or escapes.
If you have questions about non-investigative aspects of the event, see the Questions thread on the OOC Plotting Post.

Investigations
To leave opportunities for others, please limit the scope of your actions per submission. For example, if you'd like to test a key, you must specify a narrow set of locks in a particular section. Additionally, while there are no strict limits on how many investigations you can be involved in, we do ask that you try to stagger them a little to help us keep pace.
You can investigate something multiple times as long as it makes sense for your character to try again. This includes following up with witnesses if characters learn new information. To investigate, fill out the form, then comment under the item you're investigating.

IC Exchanges
Use this option if you have an interaction you'd like to play out, but setting up a standard IC thread would be impracticable. For example, if your character wants to speak to several people about a piece of evidence, you might want to do an IC exchange. IC exchanges can take place in the real world or the Horizon.
Treat this like an informal IC network thread done in person, where character reactions, snippets of dialogue, and other details can be quickly played out and concluded in-game without committing to a full log thread. Exchanges are game canon, and can count towards Activity Check under the category of a Network thread.
Start an IC exchange
Using the provided form is optional. Begin a thread freeform if you prefer.

2. The merchant will name a few and he'll happily show Rhy some samples.
3. It's possible, but unheard of to date. For a vampire, consuming another's blood is intimate and should be consensual. If it's being used in a wine, that would raise a lot of eyebrows. It would mean it's being done in secret without consumers knowing.
The lock is magically warded like most locks in Ikorr. While it would be possible to get into the chest, they may want to consider returning with additional help. One or more people would need to lure the merchant away from the immediate vicinity and a couple of others would need to sneak around to break in. He'll also report the theft once he discovers it, so timing will be important, too!

Returning to the question about a vampire's blood being in the wine, Alucard will ask if consumption of another vampire's blood comes with any changes in natural abilities, shared thoughts with the other vampire, anything at all - explaining that vampires back home recreate by turning and so he wants to be clear about the nuances.

He and Alucard will leave after the initial round of chatting with the merchant, go get Istredd and Thancred, and return after some time with Alucard approaching the second time as A Series of Bats. They'll be circling and making a mess of themselves, seemingly startled by something. The Alucard-bats will be acting as a distraction to lure the merchant away, with Rhy assisting by shouting at the bats and trying to get the merchant's 'help' shooing them away. The goal is to get him away from his booth long enough for Thancred and Istredd to tag-team the lock on the chest.

While another Summoned has obtained a sample of Marcellus's wine and has proven a match, this bottle will be important for confirming that it is in fact Marcellus's blood inside the wine and not someone else's. Because the bottle is sealed and is a vintage from many years ago, there can be no accusations that the blood was planted, either.
Should they bring the bottle to the Sentinels, they will inform the group of the above and will keep the bottle for evidence. At this stage, the Sentinels have started to look for Marcellus. They ask the Summoned to leave this part to them.
